Costing Engineer

Costing Engineer- Proprietary Experience: 6- 12 yrs Job Location: Pune Educational Qualification: Graduate (B.E./B. Tech) in Automobile / Mechanical / Production from a reputed Institute/University. Technical Skills / JD: - Need to make Automotive parts cost estimation based on specifications-Specialist in Cost working based for Automotive Systems: -Such as Under Body & chassis systems such as front suspension module assembly, strut damper assembly, front cradle assembly, control arm assembly, stabilizer bar etc. - Steering systems, steering knuckle assembly etc. -Rear suspension module assembly, Rear cradle assembly, rear stabilizer bar, link assembly etc. -Costing for Wheel & Tire Assy-Braking Assembly: Front brake caliper assembly, rear brake caliper assembly -Knowledge of Display & Infotainment Parts. -Knowledge of seating systems will be added advantage. - Cost Estimation & known how for Proprietary Parts such as Seat Mechanisms, sliding mechanisms, Door Mechanisms, special type of fasteners used in automotive, -Pricing structure, BOM estimation, building supplier relationship. -RM / Process / MHR / Markups etc. & data management for sheet metal, casting, forging & machining parts. -Cost optimization ideas generation based on market reference and competitive parts. -Proprietary parts database management -Tooling/Fixturing cost estimation, budgeting & negotiation with Suppliers. -Support new product launches to ensure that supplier quality meets the required std. -Implementing various cost calculation techniques e.g. Zero-base costing, activity base costing, directional costing etc. to estimate & budget component prices. -Should have knowledge of import & export incoterms. -Calculating & analyzing landed cost to various global zones -Based on agreement periodic price settlement with suppliers -Closely collaborating with the VAVE teams & customers to support the implementation of co-strategy and achieve cost saving through sourcing from qualified suppliers locally and globally. -Drawing reading with GD & T, accordingly, manufacturing process finalization & agreement with supplier & customer. -Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities. -Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements. -Contribute to continuous improvement activities. -Produce written reports and make presentations. -Undertake personal continuous training and development. -Independently determine approach and assigned tasks. -To iron out differences between Supplier Quotes and Should Costing (Gap Analysis) -Worked on Global Projects Tool Skills: -CAD Software's (Catia/NX/Creo/Auto cad) -Hands on Microsoft office application - Read & Interpret 2D /3D design drawing reading & process assessment. -Understanding of Tools like Teamcenter, SAP, ERP etc -Working knowledge of various costing tools viz. aPriori, Costimeter etc. General Requirements: -Expertise in part costing techniques and cost management. -Practical commercial and project management experience. -Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques, new part/vend or tooling & development. -Strong negotiation and terms finalization skills -Good Analytical Skill, Cost evaluation & negotiation skill -Good Knowledge of Manufacturing Process & hand on experience in drawing study -2D /3D. -Relationship Management -Target Costing / Business perspective. -Practical commercial and project management experience. -Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques, new part/vendor development. -Strong negotiation and terms finalization skills -Knowledge of TS16949/ISO9001 / Global Standards - Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment. -Strong in data analytics, data presentation & reporting -Good Analytical Skill, Cost evaluation & negotiation skill -Good Knowledge of Manufacturing Proc ess & hand on experience in drawing study -2D /3D. -Manage & upgrade cost data base for global market. -Possess the ability to solve problems and take a decision quickly. -Able to co-ordinate with multiple teams located at multiple locations. -Category Management, negotiation, cost optimization, spend management, & Low-cost country cost data base. -Knowledge of selection of ideal manufacturing processes. - Knowledge of Cost Reduction Cost Improvements. - Knowledge of Most techniques, Component Cost Benchmarking, VAVE Experience: 6-12 yrs(Industry Preferred: Automobile/ Farm Industry)
