Position Description Business Division PI Enzyme Fermentation Technology Department Biochemistry Location Udaipur Position Title Research Scientist - Biochemistry Level E1-E4 Reporting to Title Team Leader - Biochemistry Position Purpose The role holder shall report to the team leader and shall perform research activities viz Bioassay development high-throughput screening method development protein purification refolding immobilization biotransformation lab and kilo scale and isolation of KSM with an aim of adding significant value to the business of PI Strategic Responsibilities Operational Responsibilities Research Activities Design plan assist and execute assigned biochemical group functions Plan experiments to investigate and analyse candidate enzyme for their potential use in crop protection growth activators under supervision of the team leader Prepare and operate complex instrumentation required for the experiments Conduct experiments executes advanced analytical techniques on candidate molecules to extend scientific theories and explore their practical application Tabulate results analyze and extrapolate results data to develop theories for explaining observed phenomenon Documentation Document and record findings in research reports papers for further dessimination filing Process Adherance improvements Adhere to all safety information security quality norms related to research procedures Participate in process improvement inititatives under direction of Head - Enzyme Fermentation Knowledge Management Participate in knowledge management initiatives by contributing to KM portal Contribute to competitor intelligence through secondary research participation in internal external forums professional organizational networks Identify and utilize best practices in formulation development Reporting Update timesheets progress trackers and submit to supervisor as directed Financial Responsibilities People Responsibilities Lead own professional development through continuous learning and development initiatives within and outside the organization Collaborate with team members and cross functional teams to ensure meeting research objectives Education Qualification Ph D M Tech MS MSc B Tech with specialization in Biotechnology Biochemistry Biophysics Chemistry from reputed University Institute with excellent academic credentials Work Experience 2-3 years of post-academic industrial research experience Industry to be Hired from Agro Chemical Pharma Research Universities or Institutes Functional Competencies Strong capability knowledge in enzymology high throughput assay development and screening method development Practical Experience on HPLC GC LC-Mass GC-Mass NMR Excellent clinical and laboratory skills including knowledge of lab procedures equipment and protocols Interaction Complexity and Team Work InteractionFrequency Purpose of Interaction Internal Team Leader Group Leader Head - Enzyme HR Finance As and when required Planning work discussing results of experiments resolving doubts seeking clarifications on policies reimbursement claims External
