Job Description Role for an Assistant Civil Engineer Education- Diploma/ B.E/ B.Tech in Civil Engineering Experience- Up to 1 year Location- Deccan, Pune An assistant role in on-site supervision is vital for the smooth execution of turnkey projects, requiring a balance of technical, coordination, procurement, and accounting skills. Core Responsibilities - Oversee ongoing site activities, ensuring quality and compliance with design specifications and safety standards. - Coordinate with designers, contractors, suppliers, and labor teams to ensure work progresses according to schedule and resolve technical issues on-site. - Assist in planning, design reviews, technical documentation, and preparation of project progress reports. - Conduct quality checks on materials and construction practices, maintain records of material usage, and prepare requisitions well in advance. - Manage site accounting, including documentation of labor costs, material payments, contractor bills, daily consumption reports, and cost estimation to keep the project within budget. Learning Opportunities - Leadership abilities and communication for guiding teams, assigning tasks and resolving conflicts during execution. - Analytical thinking to assess issues as they arise, diagnose root causes and evaluate alternative solutions. - Decisiveness and adaptability in implementing the best course of action under pressure, sometimes with limited information. - Openness to feedback, ongoing skills development and embracing hands-on learning from experience, team members and training opportunities.
