Data Analytics Manager

As the Data Analytics Manager, you will serve as the subject matter expert on reporting design, meaningful metrics, and storytelling through data for the Strategic Insights + Analytics (SIA) Team. You will leverage your expert hands-on skills in Tableau, Power BI, and ETL development to create and optimize reports that meet the needs of stakeholders in the CFO organization. This role reports to a Senior Manager in Thousand Oaks, California, and requires close collaboration with both US and India-based teams.
Primary Responsibilities
- Reporting Development: Personally develop key reports and analytics in Tableau or Power BI in response to critical, just-in-time requests. You will be responsible for progressing quickly developed reports to a polished, automated, and future-proof state.
- Strategic Guidance: Provide actionable, expert guidance to the SIA and FIT Reporting + Analytics teams on reporting design and development. You will also help design and implement a reporting strategy, which may include a full-scale reporting migration from Tableau to Power BI.
- Consultation & Collaboration: Provide consultation support to other reporting and analytics developers within the CFO organization. You will partner with colleagues in both the US and India to achieve shared objectives.
- Technology & Trends: Stay current with the latest reporting and analytics trends and technology, and make recommendations to leadership as needed. You will have development experience with cloud storage and ETL tools like Databricks and Prophecy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A Master's degree with 5 years of finance or analytics development experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of finance or analytics development experience.
- Expert proficiency in Tableau and Power BI development.
- Expert skill in reporting design and defining meaningful metrics.
- Advanced business analyst skills, with the ability to grasp and translate business requirements into technical requirements.
- Development experience with cloud storage and ETL tools such as Databricks and Prophecy.
- A solid understanding of finance concepts, financial statements, and financial data.
- The ability to manage large and complex datasets.
Additional Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with financial systems like Oracle Hyperion, Anaplan, SAP S/4 Hana, and Workday.
- Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA.
- The ability to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders outside of the SIA/FIT teams.
