Job Description - Compliance & Risk Management: - Assist businesses with comprehensive compliance and risk management matters. - Conduct legal audits and due diligence to identify and mitigate risks. - Coordinate with various internal departments to ensure adherence to all regulatory and internal compliance frameworks. - Legal Communications & Advisory: - Draft legal notices, representations, and replies against notices issued by statutory authorities. - Issue timely and practical legal advice and assistance to various business units. - Litigation Management: - Coordinate effectively with external Advocates and Counsels in connection with all company litigation, including but not limited to consumer litigation. - Oversee the preparation and review of all pleadings and documentation related to such litigations. - Strategic Business Advisory: - Anticipate legal support needs of the business and help define and drive the strategic legal plans for new business initiatives. - Provide proactive business advisory on new ventures, regulatory landscape, and legal feasibility of business models. - Ensure compliance of advertisement creatives and marketing campaigns from a legal and ethical standpoint. - Advise on data protection, privacy laws, and technicalities related to T&C, ensuring robust data governance. - Technical Compliance & Business Interrogation: - Provide expert guidance on compliance from both a business and technical standpoint, specifically on T&Cs, data protection, and digital marketing compliance. - Engage in critical business questioning to understand legal implications of new strategies and advise on permissible business activities. Qualifications & Experience: - LLB degree from a reputable university; LLM is a plus - Post-qualification experience in the corporate. - Proven expertise in the IT Act, data protection regulation laws. - Demonstrated ability to provide clear, concise, and business-focused legal advice. - Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills (both written and verbal). - Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and risk identification. - Proven ability to manage complex legal projects independently and collaboratively. - Mature mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach and a high degree of integrity.
