Job Title: Project Manager

Experience Required: 8+ Years

Location: HYBRID - Chennai, Pune, Bangalore

Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager with 7+ years of experience in managing software development projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Agile methodologies, Jira, and SDLC management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meeting quality standards. You will be responsible for coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, and driving project execution from initiation to closure.

Mandatory Points:

- To manage the efficient delivery of large-scale technical projects and capabilities across the bank and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations throughout the software product lifecycle, adhering to agreed time, budget and quality requirements.
- Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
- Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
- Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practices (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end project management across multiple software development initiatives.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with business goals.
- Apply Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) to drive sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Utilize Jira for backlog management, sprint tracking, and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices across all phases (planning, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support).
- Manage risks, issues, and dependencies proactively to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Collaborate closely with developers, testers, product owners, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver regular project status reports and dashboards for leadership visibility.
- Mentor and guide team members to adopt Agile best practices and improve delivery efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

- 7+ years of experience in Project Management within IT/software development.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Hands-on experience with Jira (or similar tools like Azure DevOps, Rally, Trello).
- Solid understanding of SDLC processes and project governance frameworks.
- Proven track record of delivering projects within scope, time, and budget.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and decision-making abilities.
