Senior Data Lake Engineer at BairesD ev We are seeking a Senior Data Lake Engineer with expertise in data lake architecture, schema-on-read, data governance, and metadata management. The technology stack includes popular open source data lake technologies - Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, Apache Hudi, and related storage platforms. Thus, there is ample scope for collaboration and contribution to open source. The ideal candidate will develop and optimize scalable data lake systems, contribute to open source projects, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver innovative data storage and management solutio ns. What You'll Do: - Contribute actively to data lake and related open source proj ects.- Develop and optimize data lake architectures for scalable data storage and proces sing.- Implement schema-on-read solutions to enable flexible data access patt erns.- Build data governance frameworks to ensure data quality and compli ance.- Design and implement metadata management systems for data discovery and lin eage.- Collaborate with engineering teams on system integration and deploy ment. What we are lookin g for: - 10+ years of experience in software devel opment.- Strong expertise in data lake architectures and large-scale data storage s ystems.- Deep understanding of schema-on-read concepts and flexible data mo deling.- Proficiency in data governance frameworks and compliance mana gement.- Experience with metadata management and data cataloging s ystems.- Core contributions to Apache open source projects (Iceberg, Delta Lake, Hudi, or si milar).- Advanced level of E nglish.
