career growth and development As category execution support you will partner closely with key stakeholders to execute sourcing strategies related to your category in your remit Accountabilities Category Execution Support Execute the category strategy for assigned category collaborating with key stakeholders team members and leaders affected by the respective categoryPopulate the category cards detailing overall category strategies preferred suppliers and business unit requirements for execution execute to ensure category health is tracking per strategy goals planExecute the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities including RFx spend analysis contract analysis bid evaluation contract and commercial negotiations and supplier consolidation Develop and customize the RFx based on each requirementProviding guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement strategies maintain sourcing ethics in accordance with News Corp s global policies methodologiesEstablishing strong relationships with internal business partners building a robust understanding of strategic business direction requirements and priorities Work with senior cross-functional internal customers as well as the Business Sourcing Partner to define detailed business requirements with designated business units prioritizing business requirements and taking them through approval processProvide input to the Category Performance framework and provide metrics related to category performance and continuously track monitorIdentify areas of savings opportunity based on the spend analysis RFx requirements and meet the set targetsIdentify and execute the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities Execute change management within designated business units to increase utilization of best practices sourcing and procurement solutionsAssists the Business Sourcing Partner in business unit capacity and demand planning forecasting customer business unit demand Vendor Management Evaluation Negotiation Selection Qualification Support the evaluation negotiation selection and qualification of vendorsSupport the negotiation of contracts with selected suppliers leveraging tools technology or supplier contract template including but not limited to IT Services Master Services Agreements Master License and Service Agreement Statement of Work Amendments etc and negotiation of global preferred supplier agreements following the legal guidelines Execute SOWs of complex and strategic nature through creation to approvalManage escalations to the legal department appropriately as neededPartner with the contract management team regularly Critical Experiences Competencies Abilities Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree or equivalent experience required MBA is a plusMinimum 5 years of global sourcing experienceUnderstand the requirement and draft a RFx based on the requirementContract drafting experience as well as excellent understanding of contractual terms both commercially and legally Minimum 2-3 years of sourcing transformation experience e g significant prior experience in all elements of sourcing and category management Certification in Procurement such as CPSM or CSCP preferredEmbraces fact-based decision making naturally seeks to leverage and or integrate market data spend analytics and cost modelingProven written and oral communicator with strategic analytical and interpersonal skills to act as an effective change agent unlocking barriers to value for priority spend categoriesExpert negotiator with proven experience in setting negotiation strategies and conducting negotiations Strong project management skills including adhering to stakeholder timelines and meeting management skillsExtensive knowledge of the basic types of commercial agreement structures and the function and purpose of key legal terms Experience working in a large global highly matrixed organization and works easily in
