Senior Accountant - AccountingLocation chennai IndiaJob Category FinancePOSITION SUMMARY Part of Plant Operations Finance team responsible for day-to-day activities of Fixed Assets accounting and product cost accounting Operations variance analysis Inventory and Audit Compliances THE ROLE Plant FA Cost Accounting YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES The specific responsibilities will fall into Finance primary areas Accounting all Fixed assets related transactions starting from CWIP recording to asset capitalization Tracking capex PR to avoid overspending for each approved project Annual fixed assets physical verification including Tools with vendors FA audit coordination with Statutory as well as Internal Auditors Weekly tracking of capex projects against month forecast Coordinate with Project Managers for capex budget monthly forecast timely capitalization Support Costing manager in day to day new product Cost working as per defined Annual Product Costing guidelines and ensure product cost update in Oracle after due approval Inventory valuation physical verification working out E O and NRV reserves required as per guidelines Support Operations Finance Controller with cost working and month variance analysis Tracking actual flex performance against set budget forecast and supporting Operations team with detailed variance analysis with opportunities Inventory schedules working for Statutory Cost Internal Audit and SOX compliance audit Plant MIS Ensure policies and procedures compliance for all cost accounting activities KEYS TO SUCCESS Coordination with plant operations time and process compliance for Oracle activities Audit RCM QUALIFICATIONS CA CWA with 1 to 3 years post qualification experience
