Rock & Reef Dredging specializes in various types of dredging projects across India, with a growing fleet of dredgers and in-house technical expertise. We are expanding our survey capabilities and looking for a dedicated Hydrographic Surveyor to support internal surveys for our ongoing and upcoming dredging projects. Key Responsibilities - Conduct single-beam hydrographic surveys to monitor dredging progress and verify depth data. - Perform pre-dredge and post-dredge surveys to ensure compliance with project requirements. - Process and validate raw survey data using appropriate software (e.g. Hypack, AutoCAD, or similar). - Maintain survey equipment, including single-beam echo sounders, DGPS units, and related peripherals. - Prepare accurate survey charts, reports, and volume calculations for internal project teams. - Work closely with the project engineers, dredge operators, and site managers to support operations. - Ensure data quality, calibration accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols on-site. Qualifications & Skills - Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hydrography, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field. - Minimum 1–3 years of experience in hydrographic surveying (preferably in dredging or marine construction). - Hands-on experience with single-beam survey systems (knowledge of multibeam is a plus). - Proficiency in survey data processing and mapping software (Hypack, AutoCAD, etc.). - Strong understanding of tidal corrections, positioning systems, and sound velocity calibration. - Ability to work independently in field environments and collaborate effectively with dredge crews.
