Marsh McLennan (India) Private Limited is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Mumbai office: Job Title: Manager/ Senior Manager - Research, BIG Pacific Team MMC Business Unit: Marsh and Mercer Business Function: India Knowledge Services (IKS) Location: Hiranandani, Powai As a part of the Business Intelligence Group (BIG) Pacific - Strategic Research team in India Knowledge Services function of Marsh McLennan (India) Private Limited, the candidate will be aligned to the regional sales and client engagement vertical, supporting sales enablement projects and live client pitches for the sales team, partners, and risk advisors. Dedicatedly working for Pacific, the BIG team supports stakeholders with insights to achieve distinctive client outcomes. We track clients, prospects, industries, markets, competitors as well as emerging risks and develop research collateral critical to growth and sales strategy. - Macro-economic analysis to support understanding the business environment specifically for use in annual planning - Client dialogue decks to support initial discussions with clients and prospects, encompassing business overview, financial analysis, strategic priorities and risk assessment - Prospect identification of companies that could be related to industries, locations, business type, etc. - Industry assessment highlighting deep insights into addressable market size, industry trends, challenges, outlook, external drivers, as well as key existing and emerging risks - Competitor analysis that highlights client/ prospects, competitors’ strategic objectives, key investments/ activities being undertaken, and how these factors connect to potential opportunities - Insurance market analysis offering detailed analysis of a particular market and product line, including whitespace opportunities across various industries, countries, and specific insurance segments We will count on you to: - Invest in understanding our business thoroughly - Independently deliver high-impact research engagements ─ projects commissioned by regional leaders, strategy and sales communities within the firm - High attention to detail in both research and creation of end products, with focus on producing insightful, synthetized, well written outputs/ reports - Detailed project scoping with accurate timelines estimation, as well as end to end project management through quality and milestone reviews of work done by junior colleagues on the team - Mentor the team to scale up overall capabilities and make distinctive contributions to Marsh’s thought leadership and client servicing efforts - Be extremely responsive in daily work and showcase research process excellence - Develop strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders through high quality project delivery, responsiveness, and agile and clear communication - Contribute to process improvement of the team by making relevant recommendations and executing the process initiatives to enhance the efficiency and quality of overall delivery What you need to have: - Bachelors / Masters in Economics or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) / equivalent post-graduation certification from a reputed institute - 6 to 9 years of experience in strategy advisory, research (quantitative and qualitative | secondary) experience, at a leading professional services / consulting firm / market intelligence / research firm - Strong commitment to absorb and engage in feedback discussions and enhancing own knowledge and quality of end products - Exposure in building frameworks, drawing data driven insights and performing analysis aligned to the ‘Sales Strategy’, focusing on clients / prospects, markets, competitors, products and regulatory developments - Deep understanding of financial concepts, global marketplace, key trends, economic and geo-political developments, key business and financial risks - Strong understanding of strategy frameworks (PESTEL, Porter’s 5 forces, BCG Matrix, SWOT, etc.) and their applications in bringing out innovative insights - Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, storyboarding and report writing skills, and excellent communication skills – verbal, writing, listening - Advanced level of proficiency in MS Office - PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint - Extensive exposure of commercial databases such as S&P Cap IQ, Factiva, Global Data, A.M Best Insurance service etc. What makes you stand out? - Certificate in insurance such as Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) / Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)/ Insurance certifications - Exposure to working in a global setting - Experience in risk consulting or insurance/ re-insurance related research or advisory support in related verticals - Knowledge/ exposure of global insurance markets, risk advisory, enterprise risk management or risk consulting space MARSH MCLENNAN: Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC) is the world's leading professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy, and people.
