- Assistant Manager Raw Material Stores Department Stores Procurement Role Purpose To lead and manage all operations within the Raw Material Stores ensuring timely receipt storage issuance and accounting of materials The role focuses on process optimization digital transformation audit compliance and team capability development to achieve operational excellence safety and inventory accuracy Key Responsibilities 1 Operational Leadership Lead the entire RMS team including supervisors skilled and unskilled manpower across all shifts Ensure smooth execution of unloading stacking issuance and transfer activities as per plan Oversee Plant-to-Plant billing GRN posting vendor debit tracking and service entry processing Monitor critical materials and ensure zero stock-out by coordinating with Procurement Planning and Production teams Review and approve material transfers RTV movements and packing list accuracy Ensure FIFO compliance and proper material identification through tagging labeling and MES mapping 2 Inventory Management Analytics Own perpetual and monthly physical inventory processes ensuring 100 stock accuracy Drive reconciliation between SAP MES and physical stocks ensure timely closure of mismatches Analyze material consumption slow-moving and obsolete stocks take actions to optimize space and working capital Track oil stock circulation and batch-wise accountability Generate and review daily weekly and monthly RMS performance reports Ensure digital accuracy in DWM and Power BI dashboards 3 Process Improvement Digitization Identify and drive automation and digital improvement initiatives to enhance RMS efficiency Lead SAP MES integration Power Query and dashboard automation projects Standardize store operations GRN TO issuance MR creation and safety permit generation Optimize layout storage utilization and material flow through lean and 5S practices Lead internal audits and ensure zero non-compliances Track and close audit observations and safety findings proactively 4 Safety Compliance Sustainability Act as Safety Representative from RMS and ensure compliance with CEAT Safety Standards Conduct risk assessments safety permit verification and unsafe condition closures Oversee hazardous waste handling oil unloading and secondary containment compliance Drive 5S and housekeeping standards with daily monitoring and closure tracking Ensure adherence to environment and sustainability norms in waste and scrap management 5 Scrap Waste Management Govern end-to-end scrap handling inward segregation storage and outward dispatch Ensure timely billing vendor coordination and MIS preparation for scrap transactions Conduct weekly cross-verification of scrap stock and maintain location-wise accuracy Coordinate with BU owners for approvals and scrap auction readiness 6 Team Development Coordination Mentor and train shift in-charges supervisors and contract manpower on SOPs SAP usage and safety Conduct regular skill audits and arrange training programs to improve efficiency Act as one-point contact between RMS Mixer QA Planning and Purchase teams Manage manpower deployment attendance and productivity improvement initiatives Foster a culture of accountability teamwork and continuous improvement Key Performance Indicators KPIs Inventory accuracy match between physical and SAP MES Material availability vs production requirement Zero safety non-compliance and audit observation closure rate GRN and TO posting timeliness Scrap revenue vs target 5S and housekeeping score Digital automation Kaizen implementation count Manpower productivity and skill enhancement
