Why Ansell Ansell is a world leader in providing superior health and safety protection solutions that enhance human well-being The world s need for better protection never stops so Ansell is constantly researching developing and investing to manufacture and distribute cutting edge product innovation and technology marketed under well-known brands that customers trust Operating in two main business segments Industrial and Healthcare Ansell is the market leader that continues to grow employing 14 000 people worldwide For more information about our Company our People and our Values please follow the link https www ansell com Ansell is looking for Sr Specialist Logistics Trade Compliance based in India This role will be responsible overseeing import export processes and controls to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with the relevant Government Regulations You will participate and engage with Asia Pacific APAC government regulators and industry partners What can you expect from Ansell Work for a world leader in the health and safety protection solutions industry A secure workplace with competitive remuneration and annual bonus based on own and company performance Flexible schedule with a combination of home and office-based working Inclusive collaborative and supportive work atmosphere A diverse and international work environment What your role will be in details You will be Driving compliance responsible for developing and establishing standard operational policies procedures guidelines to ensure smooth and safe flow of goods and materials to meet the customer order fulfilment Provide communicate clear guidance on Trade Compliance customs and international regulatory compliance and requirements to key business stakeholders Be the resident expert on trade compliance or customs issues to the business and key stakeholders and lead with the goal of eliminating roadblocks at time of customs formalities Work closely with Supply Chain team for management of customs broker escalations on regulatory compliance issues gating importation to ensure that Ansell s Supply Chain is not disrupted Periodically participate or engage with customs and other government authorities Partner with Tax in relation to transfer pricing and customs valuation rules Periodically conduct process compliance audit Analyze data to make cost service decisions recommendations and process improvements Identify and drive continuous improvements opportunities related to respective trade compliance Utilize various methodologies such as process mapping Lean Logistics Six Sigma to planout improvements in process and execution Responsible for production of monthly reports and metrics for the management Develop improvement strategies based on reported results and communicate new plans to the business Conduct root cause analysis for problems Present analytics and recommended solutions to business Compliance with Company s policies legal requirements all contracts laws and government requirements of all business activities To ensure proper maintenance of records documents and other details for our requirements as well as Government s requirements Any adhoc new project start-ups project management What you will bring Bachelor s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics or Business or equivalent or higher Experience in Transportation Logistics Freight Forwarding Logistics operating functional role responsibilities Knowledge of import export customs trade compliance regulations in India Knowledge in Free Trade Agreements FTAs and Cert of Origin in APAC region Familiar with customs brokerage operations and processes Solid understanding of the principles of supply chain management international logistics and trade regulations Knowledgeable experience and proven ability to efficiently coordinate with customs trade authorities and other local authorities to resolve audits challenges and queries Acquired knowledge in general shipping matters -
