Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: - Develop and implement strategic plans for the CSIT department in alignment with institutional goals. - Foster innovation in teaching, learning, and research in emerging areas of Computer Science and IT. - Lead the development of new academic programs and research initiatives. Academic and Research Oversight: - Oversee curriculum design, course development, and accreditation processes. - Promote high-quality research and secure funding through grants and industry collaboration. - Support faculty in scholarly activities and professional development. Administrative and Operational Management: - Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and policy implementation. - Recruit, evaluate, and mentor faculty and staff. - Ensure compliance with institutional, national, and international standards. Collaboration and External Engagement: - Build partnerships with industry, government agencies, and academic institutions. - Represent the department at national and international forums and conferences. - Drive initiatives related to internships, placements, and alumni engagement. Technology and Infrastructure: - Oversee the implementation and management of IT infrastructure used in teaching and research. - Ensure cybersecurity, data governance, and tech-enabled learning environments. Qualifications: - Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security - Ph.D year should be before 2018. - Minimum of 10 years of academic or industry experience, with at least 5 in leadership roles. - 5 Publications in scopus/sci journals. - 2 guided students should be completed. - Proven track record of academic excellence, research, and/or innovation in CSIT. - Experience in managing interdisciplinary teams and large-scale projects. - Strong understanding of emerging technologies (AI, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Data Science, etc.).
