Job Title Paralegal Schedule Remote U S time zones Job Type Full-time About the Company https derreverelaw com Our client is a reputable firm operating in the New Jersey and New York area known for providing high-quality legal services with integrity and efficiency The team is seeking a Temporary Paralegal to provide essential support on ongoing matters ensuring timely case management document organization and communication with clients and counsel About the Role The Paralegal will work directly with attorneys to assist in case preparation filings and document review The ideal candidate is detail-oriented reliable and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment This is a temporary position ideal for someone looking to contribute immediately with strong organizational and legal administrative skills Key Responsibilities Draft proofread and organize legal documents correspondence and contracts Conduct legal research and summarize findings Manage case files calendars and deadlines across NJ and NY jurisdictions Coordinate filings with courts and government agencies both electronic and in-person as needed Assist in preparing discovery materials exhibits and case summaries Support attorneys during hearings depositions and closings Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all firm protocols Requirements Qualifications Education Associate s or Bachelor s degree Paralegal Certificate preferred Experience 2 years of paralegal experience ideally within New Jersey and or New York courts Strong understanding of local filing procedures and legal terminology Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines independently Proficient with Microsoft Office Adobe Acrobat and legal management software e g Clio LexisNexis or similar
