Tasks - Demonstrates ability to work on engagements with the assistance of senior staff in performing accounting services for client, including but not limited to: - Preparing and/or assisting with the reconciliation of accounts (bank, credit card, prepaids, liabilities, payroll, etc.) - Calculating accruals, prepaid expenses, deferred revenues, etc. - Recording journal entries. - Preparation and/or assisting with the workpapers to support financial statements. - Preparing and/or assisting with the preparation of financial statements and client reports. - Performs thorough self-review of all work prior to submission for final review - Develops proficiency in use of all technology necessary for performance and execution of work. - Ensures quality control procedures are being followed and executed. - Maintains positive client and colleague relationships. - Positively represents and actively promotes the Firm. - Proactively seeks knowledge, new tasks, and responsibilities. Required Skills And Expertise - Accounting Degree. (B.Com., (General) or B. Com., (A&F)) - Ability to work on the corporate accounting processes and procedures such as cash management, AR/AP, month end close, payroll and benefits. - Communication and presentation skills. - Accuracy and attention to detail. - Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills. - Action-oriented (self-starter, team player, detail-oriented). - Must be able to handle multiple priorities and effectively meet critical deadlines. - Understanding of financial statement preparation and analysis.
