OverviewSynoptekWe think globally act locally As a Managed Services Provider Synoptek provides world-class strategic IT leadership and hyper-efficient IT operational support enabling our global client-base to grow and transform their businesses We are excited to have experienced continuous growth and in keeping with that momentum we are seeking to add talent to our team When you partner with Synoptek you engage with an ever-growing ever-evolving IT organization that provides a high-caliber team results growth and clarity Cloud EngineerThis is an amazing opportunity to work within one of the fastest growing Managed Services Providers We are a company with a heart and soul dedicated to the ongoing success and growth of our employees and continued business success of the customers we support We foster a fun and connected environment with employee benefits extending beyond general compensation and into company sponsored events and an invested culture of learning The Cloud Engineer is responsible for Migrations These responsibilities include working directly with our customers to guide them through the details of Cloud transformation and migration of critical business workloads accelerating the customers cloud migration journey Duties and Responsibilities Work alongside our account executives and solution architects to help customers accelerate their cloud migration journey and modernize their business applications on AWS Work with our strategic customers you will help the customer assess their readiness for Cloud adoption and advise and guide the customer in developing a strategic plan to transform IT processes and organization to support their Cloud adoption Focus on understanding customer business drivers as well as the compelling event s driving their cloud adoption at the onset of a large migration engagement Work with the AWS team and customer to help develop a comprehensive migration plan lowering risk and cost while accelerating adoption Gain hands-on technical credibility with internal as well as customer technical leaders Create documentation on migration best practices This job description is not designed to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities required of the employee in this position as duties responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice Education Bachelors Degree in computer science from an accredited college or university preferred In lieu of undergraduate degree the ratio is 1 1 -
