data solutions and insights We are seeking a Senior Principal Software Engineer with deep technical expertise and business domain knowledge in sales finance and customer master data domains In this role you will report to the Sr Manager of Data Engineering in our Enterprise Systems Experience ESE IT organization Youll lead the delivery of advanced data initiatives working with a globally distributed talented team to transform Autodesks business processes As we collaborate across departments youll partner closely with Product Managers in the Data Product Insight domain to identify engineers Collaborate with scrum teams in the US India and Singapore where engineering teams are located Lead and guide the entire complex project development cycle and accomplish the goals Participate in product discovery along with Product Managers Analysts Users and Architects Lead solution design readouts and oversee the delivery of end-to-end solution implementations Take end-to-end ownership of ETL data pipelines from data ingestion to consumption by business intelligence and advanced analytics teams Identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency and increasing business revenue Lead the design build test and release of data science models to generate insights from enterprise system data Work closely with different stakeholders business owners users product managers program managers architects engineering managers developers etc to translate business needs and product requirements into well-documented engineering solutions Provide constant communication updates to stakeholders at different stages requirements clarification solution planning reviews status progress sharing etc Ensure data quality and consistency across various sources Design and contribute to best practices in Enterprise Data Warehouse EDW architecture Lead the design implementation testing and delivery of data engineering products components services strategically Serve as a go-to person for technical solutions across multiple teams and projects helping to overcome challenges predict risks and create mitigation plans e g driving systematic solutions for both short-term and long-term building a roadmap for technical solutions Discover define and guide the implementation of long-term technical strategies for data engineering tools practices and processes that benefit the team s growth and delivery of high-quality data products Serve as a role model for mentoring and coaching other engineers applying best practices and promoting achievements to external teams Minimum QualificationsBS or higher in computer science or related technical discipline12 years of hands-on software and data engineering development experiences in enterprise applications and systemsExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and make sound architectural decisionsBroader knowledge in software architecture conceptsDeep knowledge and experience with data architecture and data platform designsDeep knowledge and experience in data modeling entity relationship and query analysis optimizationDeep expertise in Python Snowflake SQL DBT PySpark will be a very good to have skill Real hands-on project experience with these skills is a mustExpert in using AWS and Data products Also expert in Snowflake Airflow DBT Real hands-on project experience with these skills is a mustExperiences designing and building data science and ML models for generating business insights from enterprise system dataDemonstration of strong sense of ownership and competence in driving broad consensus and alignment across teams and GEOsAbility to design and implement complex enterprise system solutions independently demonstrate ideas by POC rapidlyFast learner
