Job Profile As a Ruby on Rails Developer at BeQuick, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our software platform. You will work closely with our other developers, management, and account managers to create robust and scalable features in our software platform. Skills - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). - Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments. - Experience with React, Ember, and native Rails views Experience - PostgreSQL - Tools such as Pusher, Sidekiq, Skylight - Experience with Ember, Vue, or similar front-end frameworks - Knowledge of AWS service and deployment concepts - Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker). - Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban). - Strong experience integrating 3rd party API for external services, payment processors, etc. Responsibilities - Ruby on Rails Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails. - Feature Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and enhancements, from concept to deployment. - Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to coding standards and best practices. - Database Management: Work with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) to manage and optimize data storage and retrieval. - Testing and Quality Assurance: Write unit tests and perform code reviews to ensure the reliability and performance of the codebase. - Bug Fixes: Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and bottlenecks in the applications. - Scalability: Contribute to the scalability and performance optimization of our web applications. - Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for the codebase and development processes. - Schedule: The ability to work 2:00 - 11:00 PM IST or close to it and, the ability to respond to occasional emergency problems.
