Job Description Deputy Manager - Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Experience: 7 - 15 years Location: Pondicherry Industry: Auto / Manufacturing / Engineering About The Role This is a leadership role within the Supplier Quality team, responsible for ensuring quality compliance across plastic, rubber, casting, machining, forging, and electrical components sourced from suppliers. The position requires strong experience in supplier development, quality audits, and corrective action management. Key Responsibilities - Develop and support suppliers to ensure Part Drawing compliance. - Conduct inspection of incoming parts across multiple commodities. - Lead drawing interpretation, dimensional checks, and layout inspection. - Analyse field failures and drive root cause identification & corrective actions. - Work closely with suppliers to implement corrective & preventive measures. - Monitor supplier PPM, rejection trends, and drive continuous improvement. - Coordinate with internal stakeholders for quality improvements & product readiness. - Maintain inspection reports and ensure documentation accuracy in SAP. - Support New Product Development from a supplier quality Profile - Minimum 7-15 years in Supplier Quality / Vendor Development / Component Quality. - Strong analytical and technical interpretation skills. - Exposure to automotive components preferred. - Experience in supplier audits, quality tools, and corrective action management. - Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
