Job Description:We are looking for a detail-oriented and thorough Software Tester/Analyst to join our team. As a Software Tester, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will work closely with developers and product managers to identify, document, and fix defects before the software is released to customers.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.Perform various types of testing including functional, regression and user acceptance testingIdentify, report, and track defects in the defect tracking system jira.Collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues and identify root causes.Ensure test coverage for all features and product functionality.Review and analyse requirement specifications and user stories to create test scenarios.Perform manual and automated testing of software applications using Mainframe.Create detailed, well-organized, and easily understandable test documentation (e.g., test cases, test reports).Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings in Agile environments.Communicate test progress, results, and issues effectively to the team and stakeholders.Contribute to the improvement of QA processes.Create, maintain and execute automation test scripts using Selenium or Playwright.Perform code version control and build.Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience as a Software Tester, Quality Assurance Tester/Analyst with 2-4 years of experience.Experience in Banking/Insurance Domain.Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.Experience with manual testing of web and mobile applications.Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium or cypress).Experience using test management tools (e.g. Jira).Experience in automation framework using Java, and JavaScript.Familiarity with Maven, Git or GitHub.Ability to write clear and concise bug reports and documentation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of SQL is a plus.Excellent attention to detail and ability to detect even minor defects.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and within a team.Experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies.Desirable :Experience with Mainframe is a plus.Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, Certified Software Tester) is a plus.Familiarity with continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo) is a plus. Basic Knowledge of coding/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) for test automation.
