Designation - Executive Quality

Location: Ambas, India

About the Role

As an Individual Contributor, you will be responsible for brand audits, customer compliance, and technical quality assurance. The role includes handling internal and external audits, certification processes (ISO, OEKO TEX, GOTS, etc.), preparing quality reports, and deploying quality tools like FMEA and QC tools. You will also coordinate with global brands (Decathlon, H&M, M&S, etc.), train teams on compliance standards, and ensure closure of non-conformances.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and implement customer/brand-specific requirements, reports, and inspection systems.
- Manage internal audits, external audit coordination, and non-conformance closure.
- Handle QMS certifications (ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, OEKO TEX, GOTS, GRS, BRC Issue 06).
- Prepare and monitor FMEA, CCP, and related action plans.
- Deploy and track progress of Seven QC Tools and Five Quality Core Tools.
- Prepare and circulate weekly, monthly, and quarterly QA reports.
- Update QA documentation, SOPs, and site manuals as required.
- Train new recruits and provide refresher training to manufacturing teams.
- Support environmental and safety compliance (waste management, resource conservation, hazard reviews).
- Act as brand representative for audits and compliance matters.

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: B.Tech or Graduate in Textile (Diploma in Textile also considered).
- Experience: 35 years in garment manufacturing with hands-on QA/audit exposure.
- Preferred Industry: Garment / Textile / Apparel.

Key Skills

- Strong knowledge of ISO standards and QMS certifications.
- Proficiency in FMEA, Seven QC Tools, Five Quality Core Tools.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Good communication (Tamil & English), problem-solving, and training ability.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Dashboard) & SAP.
