Test Automation Engineer

- Having An engineering degree B.E/B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech/M.Sc with good academic record.

- 3 to 8 Years of Relevant experience as an Automation Tester.

We are looking for skilled Test Automation Engineers with strong hands-on experience in modern testing frameworks and tools. Below are the detailed requirements:

1. Automation Expertise

- Proficient in Cypress or Playwright using JavaScript (Node.js) for end-to-end web application testing.

- Strong experience in API test automation through code (not Postman), leveraging Cypress or Playwright for deeper integration and control.

- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable test scripts, suitable for SDET roles requiring hands-on coding is mandatory

2. Technical Proficiency

- Solid programming skills in JavaScript.

- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and version control systems for seamless integration and deployment.

- Experience in DevOps environments, including:

- Working with Docker images

- Configuring GitLab CI/CD

- Writing and managing YAML files

- Familiarity with test management tools like IBM Jazz, Quality Center, or similar platforms.

3. Quality & Process Orientation

- Excellent communication and analytical skills for effective collaboration and problem-solving.

- Proven experience in testing web-based applications across diverse domains.

- Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and modern software testing practices, contributing to iterative development and continuous improvement.

4. Additional Skills (Nice to Have)

- Knowledge of IoT devices and networking is a strong plus, especially in environments involving hardware-software integration and real-time data validation.

- Experience with NFR (Non-Functional Requirements) testing using tools like: K6 , Sitespeed.io

Note:This is anSDET role, so hands-on coding ability and strong problem-solving skills are essential. Simply knowing automation frameworks, tools, or technologiessuch as Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, Robot Framework, or Playwright isnot sufficient. Candidates will be evaluated based on theircoding and logical skills, and will be required to solvecoding challenges during the technical rounds.

SDET role blendssoftware developmentandquality assurance. SDETs are expected to write codeto automate tests, build testing frameworks, and contribute to the overall software development process.

Here's what defines an SDET:

- Strong coding skills(JavaScript, Java, Python, etc.)
- Test automation expertise(e.g., Cypress, Playwright)
- API and backend testing
- Performance and NFR testing
- CI/CD and DevOps integration
- Active participation in Agile development cycles
