The Cyber Security Executive will play a crucial role in developing and implementing security measures, monitoring network activity, and ensuring compliance with security standards. Responsibilities - Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures to protect the organization's information systems. - Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. - Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security breaches promptly. - Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the security of hardware and software systems. - Provide training and awareness programs to staff on security best practices. - Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology solutions. - Perform regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. Skills and Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field. - 5-10 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field. - Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, and authentication technologies. - Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint security solutions. - Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls. - Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. - Strong communication skills to effectively convey security issues and solutions to non-technical staff.
