JOB DESCRIPTION

Education Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical/ Aerospace or Mechanical or equivalent.

Work Experience

- Min 4 years experience in Performance Engineering in an airline with B 737-800 types.
- Ground instructor experience and approvals.
- Familiarity with Flight Operations administration/crew rostering/training/ documentation in a reputed airline etc.

Skills/ Special Requirements

- Good Knowledge of DGCA regulations
- Good Knowledge of Computers and various software used for aircraft performance analysis.
- Problem solving oriented and willing to go the extra mile.
- Strong Analytical, problem solving minded, good communication, interpersonal, team player and time management skills.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

- Aircraft Performance analysis.
- Conduct ground training classes for pilots and other company staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB (KRA)

Carry out the duties and responsibilities as under and as may be specified by the Company from time to time.

Performance Engineering

- Responsible for all matters of aircraft performance analysis and any related matters as may be sought by the Company from time to time.
- Ensure Aircraft take-off and landing Performance data for aircraft type are up to date satisfying regulatory and Company requirements, including new destinations and alternates.
- Provide Technical advice on matters such as MEL, DDG and CDL preparations etc. on flight operations related matters.
- Calculation and preparation of AOMs as per the DGCA rules etc. Prepare necessary operational material/documents for Flight Dispatch on all aircraft performance and navigation, RTOW, AOMs, airports etc and matters that may be referred to him/her.
- Preparation and updating of RTOW Tabulations handbook which will contain RTOW charts/tables for all your online airports and the designated alternates for the applicable flaps for Dry and Wet and contaminated runway conditions where applicable.
- Provide an escape strategy for airports which have high terrain and requires Special Engine Out Departure procedures.
- Evaluate, calculate, and publish aircraft performance data such as Engine out escape procedures, drift down.
- Airplane performance analysis for High Terrain routes including en route Oxygen requirement analysis and associated escape procedures where required.
- Carry out airport/ routes suitability study/operational risk analysis/ feasibility and estimate the payload capability/ restrictions. Advice of any Performance restrictions.
- Constant monitoring and updating airport database. Maintain Airport watch for all online airports regarding the changes in declared distances or any other parameter which may affect the Take-off weight.
- Undertake and carry out the monthly performance and drag analysis of aircraft performance and submit the necessary report with necessary findings and recommendations as per the requirement of the DGCA.
- Monthly APM Analysis Report (Certified Hard Copy) to be prepared based on deviation % values of Fuel Flow, EPR/N1 and will be in tabular form.
- Preparation of monthly/annual report of Aircraft Performance and Performance report for C of A / ARC renewal.
- Preparation of monthly aircraft performance and drag analysis and submit the report with necessary findings and recommendations and work with E&M department for performance analysis reports specific to the E& M department.
- Plan and coordinate the Departments activities in providing aircraft performance data required by Crew, dispatchers, OCC etc.
- Handle all data and correspondence regarding APM.

Training

- Support Manager - Admin and Training in planning and execution of the overall management of training of Flight Crew, Dispatchers, Ground Instructors, Flight Instructors, CRM Facilitators, and Flight Dispatch Trainers. Monitoring of Flight, Crew Training Validities.
- Support Manager - Admin and Training in planning in Crew Medicals and License Renewals.
- Support Manager Training and Admin in department annual budget preparations.
- Design and development of training proforma, materials, curriculum and documentations.
- Supervision of Ground and Line Training.
- Conduct ground training classes for pilots and other company staff.

Miscellaneous

- Support Manager - Admin and Training in Flight Operations Standards, Documentation, Regulatory Compliance/ audits, and other Handling Regulatory Approvals and Requirements.
- Support Manager - Admin and Training in preparing optimal crew roster.
- To prepare all documents such as manuals, check lists, forms, L& T Sheets, procedures, CAR/ CAP 3100 compliance etc. as required for the Flight Operations / new aircraft Inductions.
- Lead implementation of new programs and software in the flight operations department.
- Lead new aircraft Inductions/Cap 3100 certification process.
- Carry out Admin functions of softwares used by Flight Operations Department. (ARMS/ Crew Portal/ EFB/ APM etc)
- Coordinate with HoFS for FOQA analysis procedures and decompression procedures.
- Function as Department SMS Representative.
- Maintenance of accurate pilots and other flight operations staff data base in ARMS/ flt ops software.
- Promote and implement Quality, Safety, Efficiency and Integrity and the Customer as the prime focus of all actions and motto of all Quikjet employee.
- Other duties assigned by the Head of Flight Ops.
- Considering the dynamic environment of the operations, the Job Description may be altered to suit operational efficiency.
