A Manufacturing Operations Manager makes sure the entire factory process - from planning to shipping - runs smoothly so quality products are delivered on time and at the right cost Our philosophy Break Believe Build Break stuff Break assumptions Break the thumb rule Believe in the team Believe in the process Believe through failures Build fast Build passionately Build to simplify Main Responsibilities Planning Develop production schedules plan resources and work with in-house as well as contract manufacturing teams to get the best results for the factory Procurement and Inventory Buy raw materials keep track of inventory and make sure supplies are always available with optimum use of resources Assembly Supervise assembly lines make sure everyone follows safe working practices and solve daily problems to get products finished correctly Quality Control QC Adhere to quality standards check work at key stages and quickly fix any quality problems before products are shipped Logistics manage inbound and outbound shipments confirm correct products are sent to customers on time Compliance and Factory Management Serve as the designated Factory Manager as per the Factories Act for periodic coordination with government authorities Ensure adherence to factory-related compliance in collaboration with the Talent and EHS functions Skills and Qualifications Bachelor s degree in engineering manufacturing business or a related field is usually required 2 years managing teams or operations in a factory or a similar environment with experience in planning buying and stock control Good communication leadership and problem-solving skills to lead staff and improve processes Experience with manufacturing software for inventory management or scheduling Understanding of process improvement methods Lean Six Sigma is a plus Work Environment Full time role based out of Exponent s headquarters and integrated manufacturing facility located in Electronic city Bengaluru Fast-paced requires balancing the need to build scalable long-term systems with agility to respond quickly to daily challenges This role is vital to making sure each part of the factory process works together smoothly - from planning and supplies through production and quality checks to final shipment What matters Quality of work Approach towards problem-solving Dissatisfaction towards mediocre work Resilient attitude to bounce back after failing About Us Exponent simplifies energy for EVs Co-founded by Arun Vinayak Ather Energy s Founding Partner Former Chief Product Officer and Sanjay Byalal Former hardware strategic sourcing and cell strategy lead Ather and Former Supply Chain Lead HUL Exponent focuses on solving two sides of the energy problem by building the e pump charging station and e pack battery pack which together unlock 15-min rapid charging The 200 strong team of passionate builders have a ton of EV experience and are currently looking for more builders to join one of the best EV teams in India to build scale Exponent
