Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - On-Prem Engineer - VMware

We are seeking a skilled On-Prem VMware Engineer to manage and optimize our virtualized infrastructure. This role involves deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting VMware environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability of on-prem systems.

Responsibilities:
.Design, install, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter)
.Manage virtual machines, templates, snapshots, and resource pools
.Monitor system performance and conduct capacity planning
.Implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup solutions
.Integrate VMware with storage systems (e.g., EMC, NetApp) and virtual networking
.Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and virtualization issues across Windows and Linux platforms
.Apply patches, upgrades, and security configurations to VMware infrastructure
.Document configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions
.Collaborate with networking, security, and application teams for seamless operations

Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications / Skills
.Bachelor%27s degree in computer science, IT, or related field
.Good experience in VMware infrastructure management
.Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, and virtual networking
.Experience with server hardware, storage systems, and Active Directory integration
.Familiarity with ITIL change and incident management practices
.Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) for automation
.VMware certifications (e.g., VCP-DCV) preferred
Preferred qualifications / Skills
.Exposure to hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud)
.Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., vRealize, SolarWinds)
.Understanding of DNS, DHCP, and network segmentation
.Strong analytical and communication skills
.Ability to work in a global, fast-paced enterprise environment
