Job Description Position: Piping Material Engineer Experience: 8-10 years Educational Qualification: BE / BTech Mech Key Responsibilities: Knowledgeable in International Codes and Standards such as ASME B31.3, API 6A and other relevant ASME standards, API, ASTM, BS/EN, EEMUA, MSS, and NACE standards and practices. Review and interpret P&IDs in line with the project piping specifications, datasheets, and line lists. Develop and maintain piping specifications (including piping material specification, valves and piping bulk specifications). Preparation of Material Requisitions (MRs) for piping components, valves, gaskets, and fittings and speciality items. Coordinate with the piping design team, procurement, QA/QC, and construction teams. Support in MRP planning and material take-offs (MTO). Assist in resolving site technical queries related to piping materials. Familiar with corrosion allowance, material compatibility, and coating/lining requirements. Prepare Pipe Wall Thickness (internal and external pressure) and Branch Reinforcement Calculations per B31.3 Preparation of datasheets and full purchase descriptions of piping bulk (pipes, fittings and flanges, valves) and SP items (hose and hose connectors, strainers, steam traps, special valves, flame arrestors, bird screen, chemical injection systems, corrosion probes and coupons, valve interlocks, steam traps, air release valves). Review of Vendor Technical offers-based project specifications and requirements. Review of piping bulk, piping valves and SP items drawings including material test certificates. Required Skills & Qualifications: 1.Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 2.810 years of relevant experience in piping material engineering oil and gas industry. 3.Strong knowledge of international standards (ASME, ANSI, API, ASTM, DIN, etc.). 4.Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 5.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
