We are seeking a Software Developer with expertise in designing and developing modern, user-centric applications and experience with Python/PySpark/Java/JavaScript. In this role, you will collaborate with developers, data engineers/scientists, designers and users to create an intuitive, accessible, and responsive application while ensuring seamless integration with backend services and the data backbone.

Key Responsibilities:

- Write and optimize Python/PySpark/Java/JavaScript code to handle data processing, backend logics and integrations.
- Taking accountability in the entire application life cycle including research, design, development, testing (dev owns quality), along with continuous deployment and delivery
- Implement responsive and accessible UIs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Vue, or similar).
- Develop reusable and scalable component-based architectures.
- Integrate UIs with RESTful APIs and ensure smooth data communication.
- Write clean, maintainable code with unit tests and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with data teams to visualize and present large-scale data in an intuitive way.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to fetch and process data efficiently.
- Implement data-driven UI components that interact with analytics and reporting tools.
- Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX designers, product managers, and data engineers.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and contribute to automation for deployment.
- Design and develop visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces based on UX research and best practices.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to improve design effectiveness.
- Optimize user workflows, interactions, and navigation to enhance overall user experience (UX).
- Coach team members on software development practices and stay on top of the latest technical developments in the software engineering space

The ideal candidate has:

- 6+ years of professional experience working with Python/Java application development.
- 2+ years of professional experience working with PySpark in a data-driven environment.
- 2+ years of professional experience working with Front-end development frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills is a must
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and other data storage solutions for retrieving and displaying data efficiently.
- Strong practical experience working with cloud platforms (ideally Azure).
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Vue, or similar).
- Experience with CSS frameworks (Tailwind, Bootstrap, Material UI) for rapid UI development.
- Expertise in frontend performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility.
- Knowledge of RESTful API integration and backend communication strategies.
- Proficiency in Git, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps for CI/CD.
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
- Experience working in an Agile team using tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, design thinking, and usability best practices.
