Job Opening: Executive – RMU (Accounts & Finance)

Location: Navi Mumbai (working for an international plant)

Shift Timings:

- Training Period: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (first few months)
- Post Training: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
- Transport Provided

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

- CA / CMA
- 2–3 years of work experience (experience in a manufacturing company will be an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of FP&A, financial accounting, and statutory audits.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Statutory Audits

- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the RMU process.
- Establish and maintain adequate internal controls for plant operations.
- Oversee accurate accounting of REPEX and CAPEX bills.
- Monitor and control expenses to ensure timely booking of actual plant costs.
- Ensure 100% booking of monthly expenses with provisions where required.
- Review Expense GLs monthly (line-item level) to ensure correct budgeting.
- Lead the RMU team for routine accounting and timely monthly book closure.
- Liaise with holding and subsidiary companies for queries and data requirements.
- Conduct stock verifications (quarterly for RM/FG/SFG, annually for PM, spares, and fixed assets).
- Coordinate with statutory auditors for interim and annual audits.
- Monitor and control slow-moving stock (SMS).
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, including WHT during vendor payments.
- Maintain accounting hygiene by closing ageing items in AP, AR, Advances, CWIP, and Inventories.

Product Costing & Variance Analysis

- Compute annual budgeted and quarterly actual factory cost per unit.
- Perform budget vs. actual cost per unit variance analysis.
- Prepare monthly MIS on under/over absorption of factory fixed overheads.

Budgeting & Performance Monitoring

- Coordinate annual budgeting exercise for production, capacity utilization, power & fuel, REPEX, consumables, chemicals, glassware, water, and admin expenses.
- Perform detailed variance analysis against budget.
- Prepare MIS on conversion overheads and variance analysis.
- Conduct monthly performance review meetings with the Conversion team.
- Monitor and validate Cost Efficiency Projects (CEPs) across utilities and factory expenses.

Profitability & Strategic Reporting

- Drive and execute quarterly ROCE (Return on Capital Employed) reporting (product group-wise and plant-wise).
- Lead discussions with managers on ROCE improvement.
- Identify opportunities in working capital, overheads, product mix, yields, and material usage.
- Drive and execute quarterly EBITDA per MT analysis.
- Lead inventory reduction initiatives for slow-moving, non-moving, and NC block stocks.
- Evaluate CEPs to reduce cash operating overheads.
- Assess CAPEX proposals and conduct cost-benefit analysis based on expected cashflows.
