The Phonics and Abacus Teacher will develop lesson plans and deliver engaging and effective phonics/abacus instruction to students. Responsibilities include evaluating student progress, communicating with parents, and adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students. Key Responsibilities 1. Phonics Training Teach phonics concepts to students using structured teaching methods. Help children recognize sounds, blends, and spellings effectively. Conduct interactive reading and writing sessions to enhance comprehension. Use songs, rhymes, stories, and visual aids to make phonics learning engaging. Regularly assess and track students’ reading proficiency and pronunciation. 2. Abacus Training Teach students abacus techniques to improve their calculation speed and accuracy. Introduce students to basic and advanced mental arithmetic. Conduct practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises for better learning. Evaluate students’ progress and provide personalized guidance to strengthen their mathematical skills. 3. Lesson Planning & Curriculum Delivery Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and activities based on student learning levels. Deliver engaging, structured, and age-appropriate classes. Ensure a student-friendly and supportive learning environment. Incorporate interactive games, puzzles, and learning aids to make classes enjoyable. 4. Student Assessment & Reporting Regularly assess students’ learning progress through assignments, tests, and activities. Maintain performance records and share feedback with parents. Provide individual attention to students needing extra support. 5. Parent Engagement & Communication Communicate with parents regarding their child’s progress and development. Guide parents on home-based practice techniques to reinforce learning. Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss milestones and improvement plans. 6. Classroom & Batch Management Manage small group and one-on-one sessions effectively. Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom atmosphere. Handle multiple student batches if required. 7. Continuous Learning & Development Stay updated with modern phonics and abacus teaching techniques. Participate in training workshops and certification programs provided by the organization. Incorporate innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement. Required Skills & Competencies 1. Teaching & Training Skills Strong knowledge of phonics concepts and abacus techniques.
