Your role As an Engineer or Senior Engineer at Atlas Copco Group you will play a pivotal role in driving the scientific and technological advancement of our Compressor Technique division Your core responsibility will be to lead and coordinate complex projects that span from initial concept through research design development validation and final launch of innovative industrial products Acting as the single point of accountability you will foster seamless communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams including Engineering Research Development Manufacturing Contract Manufacturers Service and Supply Chain entities to ensure alignment with business goals and customer expectations Your typical duties include monitoring project progress meticulously identifying potential risks early and implementing effective mitigation strategies to uphold quality standards and milestones You will be actively engaged in New Product Development NPD and New Product Introduction NPI initiatives as well as product sustenance and ongoing enhancements utilizing your deep technical expertise to guide teams towards successful delivery Serve as the primary liaison between GECIA teams and customer stakeholders ensuring transparent and consistent exchange of information across all parties involved Own end-to-end project management responsibilities driving timelines resource allocation and quality assurance to secure timely and successful project completions Maintain comprehensive oversight of project schedules proactively track slippages and communicate project status clearly to both upper management and clients Coordinate with specialized competencies such as CAE electrical design and technical documentation teams to integrate multidisciplinary inputs effectively Mentor and empower engineering designers by prioritizing workload delegating tasks strategically and fostering a culture of high-quality standards and committed delivery Champion environmentally sustainable product development practices that align with the company s commitment to innovation and ecological responsibility In this role you will have the opportunity to influence the future direction of high-performance cryogenic and vacuum products as part of an innovative team within a global industry leader You will report directly to the relevant hiring manager and collaborate on advanced engineering challenges that demand creativity technical acumen and leadership skills To succeed you will need Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4 to 5 years of relevant industrial experience a Master s degree M Tech is advantageous Proven proficiency in 3D CAD software such as CREO version 8 0 Inventor 2024 or AutoCAD for detailed mechanical design Experience working with Product Lifecycle Management PLM tools including Agile PLM and SAP ensuring disciplined project documentation and control Strong background in industrial product design and project execution coordination within an Original Equipment Manufacturer OEM environment Ability to efficiently manage multiple concurrent projects with appropriate prioritization and delivery focus Familiarity or hands-on experience with cryogenic technologies such as Cryo pumps compressors and chillers is highly desirable Competence in mechanical component system concept development alongside advanced 3D modeling skills Exposure to compressor and vacuum product domains will be considered an asset Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including Power BI for data analytics Word Excel Access and PowerPoint for professional reporting and presentations Strong English communication skills both written and verbal with effective presentation and interpersonal abilities A demonstrated aptitude for quick learning adaptability and effective knowledge sharing Ability to establish professional relationships and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams Disciplined work ethic adaptability to various work cultures leadership qualities in project management and excellent customer relationship management skills In return we offer Culture of trust and accountability Lifelong learning and career growth Innovation powered by people Comprehensive compensation and benefits Health and well-bein Access to Global Job opportunities as a part of Atlas Copco Group Job location Hybrid This role offers a hybrid working arrangement allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at Pune Uniting curious minds Behind every innovative solution there are people working together to transform the future With careers sparked by initiative and lifelong learning we unite curious minds and you could be one of them
