Job Description Must Have Skills: - Strong experience in DB2 LUW and DB2 z/OS administration - Mandatory: Secondary skill as Netezza DBA - Backup & recovery using tools such as TSM, NetBackup - Performance tuning & query optimization - Troubleshooting DB2 errors, performance issues & connectivity problems - Applying fix packs, patches, version upgrades - User access & security management - Experience with monitoring tools (IBM Data Studio, OEM, Nagios) Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience. - 5 years of hands-on DB2 administration experience - Strong understanding of database backup/restore, performance tuning, and troubleshooting - Experience managing both on-premises DB2 LUW & z/OS environments - Knowledge of Netezza database management (mandatory) Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have): - Shell scripting / automation using Bash or Python - Experience with HADR, Q-replication - Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem) - Exposure to Cloud DB services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL) - Basic understanding of other RDBMS: Oracle, SQL Server - Experience in 24×7 production support environments Responsibilities: - Perform day-to-day administration of DB2 LUW, DB2 z/OS, and Netezza - Implement and maintain backup & recovery strategies - Execute performance tuning, query optimization, and system health checks - Perform DB2 upgrades, patches, and fix pack installations - Troubleshoot database-related issues and ensure minimal downtime - Manage database security, user access & auditing - Create automation scripts for recurring DBA tasks - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for production support and change management - Monitor DB environments using standard tools and respond to alerts - Maintain documentation of system configurations, SOPs, and best practices Important Note (Please Read Before Applying) 🚫 Do NOT apply if: - You have less than 5 year or more than 12 years of experience - You do not have DB2 LUW & z/OS administration experience - You do not have Netezza experience (mandatory) - You are on a notice period longer than 15 days - You are not open to 24×7 shifts - You are looking for a hybrid/remote-only role (this role is onsite in Bangalore) - You do not meet the mandatory technical skills listed ✅ Apply ONLY if you meet ALL criteria above.
