► Evaluate cutting edge Security technologies, proof-of-concept to drive towards adoption

and gel with exiting eco-system.

► Ensure proper communications and interoperability between different security systems.

► Drive the execution of the strategic initiatives related to automation at the

Corporate/BU/Site level.

► Maintain and update Adani approved hardware and system List for reference by BU / Site

Security team for subsequent procurement as spare or during projects.

► Track obsolescence of existing systems and plan timely tech-upgrade in sync with BU.

Security Budgeting

► Conduct monetary evaluations of proposed projects in terms of cost analysis, budget

estimation and ROI analysis.

► Finalize budgets as well as conduct timely budget reviews with the leadership team on

► Formulate policy framework and performance metrics for updating Security Automation

equipment and applications for better integration of data and operations in the Security

► Integrate Security capabilities with other Security pillars that include identity, but not

limited to access management, data protection, network Security and application

Security.

► Identify technological innovations to drive process excellence based on periodic /

incidence-based inputs from BU.

► Design Projects for Green Field /Brown Field Sites, / review design documents for

engineering and procurement of the required automation hardware or systems.

Research and Innovation

► Stay abreast with the new trends, latest technologies, new and advanced automation

systems, applications, and advanced equipment to continually improve the Security

infrastructure at Adani.

► Adapt the latest trends to Adani context to build a better integrated, innovative, and more

efficient, reliable, and maintainable Security technology ecosystem.

► Innovate ways and means to better integrate new projects and legacy systems to optimize

cost.

Project Management

► Participate in all stages of development from design through implementation.

► Monitor and report the progress of Security automation projects. Drive project

completion in a collaborative and time-bound manner.

► Review the progress of the projects on pace of execution to ensure timely execution and

resolve exceptions.

► Review the quality standards of installation of the edge devices and rectify the gaps in

collaboration with sites and vendors.

► Lead the implementation of group-defined frameworks to govern the new projects.

► Ensure Safety compliance in engineering-design of structures and the Equipment

selection. To provide guidelines as project requirement document for execution and

installation (electrical fittings etc.).

► Lead technology evaluation meetings to discuss applicability for the Group from an

operational, technical, or commercial perspective.

► Work with on-site teams to develop and manage the backlog of necessary orchestration

and automation requests related to Security.

► Design training and awareness sessions pertaining to technology projects and ensure

seamless adoption.

► Retrace the project after hand-over and document and reference the lessons learnt during

the project phase in subsequent similar projects.

Partner Selection &

Engagement

► Define the need for partnering with external institutions and provide guidelines for

preparing the Request for Information (RFI) document to be circulated to potential

partners.

► Finalize partner basis technical proposal evaluation and due diligence study; Sign-off the

contracting processes to get the select partner on board.

► Review partner performance and address instances of non-performances on a continuous

basis.

► Cultivate strategic relationships with partners and effectively leverage them for value

additions to Adani.

Job Profile

Educational Qualification:

► Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology/Science or Masters degree in relevant field

► Preferable to have Certifications including Certified Protection Professional (CPP) / Physical Security Professional (PSP)

/Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)/ PMP / Lean 6 Sigma Green Belt.

Experiences:

► More than 18 years of work experience in Automation, National Operations for Technology with minimum 5 years in a

similar role - leading a team in a similar position for similar organisations.

► Rich experience of formulating technology and automation strategies and conceptualizing framework.

► Hands-on experience with designing and executing medium/ large-scale automation projects.

► Familiarity with end-to-end security operations including Access Control, Traffic Management, Patrolling & Surveillance,

Control Room Operations.

► Experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders – internal as well as external.

► Preferable to have worked in an organization with diversified business.

► Strong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to quickly digest any issue/problem encountered and recommend

an appropriate solution
