Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Market Intelligence Analyst to join our Business Operations and Strategy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research into the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) and Semiconductor domains, analysing financial statements, and preparing quarterly earnings summaries. The candidate will also research mobile phone markets, perform teardown analysis of EMS components, and provide strategic recommendations for future product investments and acquisitions. Additionally, the candidate will create executive-level presentations to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Research and Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive research into the EMS domain, including products, markets, and industry trends.
- Analyse financial statements, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets of EMS/Semiconductor companies.
- Prepare detailed quarterly earnings summaries and reports.
- Market Research:
- Research EMS/Semiconductor markets to identify growth opportunities and forecast future revenue and sales projections.
- Analyse market data to provide insights into market dynamics and competitive landscape.
- Teardown Analysis:
- Perform teardown analysis of EMS components or Bills of Materials (BOMs) for phones, iPads, chargers, and wearables.
- Provide recommendations for future product investments based on teardown analysis findings.
- Acquisition Analysis:
- Study prospective companies for potential acquisitions.
- Evaluate financial health, market position, and strategic fit of target companies.
- Provide recommendations on the suitability of companies for takeover.
- Reporting and Presentation:
- Create insightful PowerPoint presentations for executive leadership based.
- Present research findings, market analysis, and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Skills and Abilities

- Experience in the EMS industry or Semiconductor industry.
- Knowledge of mobile phone markets and technology trends.
- Familiarity with teardown analysis and BOM analysis.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) analysis.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in engineering. MBA or relevant certification is a plus.
- 10+ years of in Product management experience in EMS or Semiconductor industry is a plus
- Should have exposure to EMS and Semiconductor manufacturing equipment markets.
- Proven experience in market research, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
