Job Description Job Description- Engineer - Sourcing Epiroc India is looking for a Sourcing Engineer to join our team, who closely work with cross-functional teams for products and projects. Job Responsibility: - Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance. - Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure supplier capabilities align with technical requirements. - Conduct cost breakdown analysis and value engineering to drive cost savings. - Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers. - Monitor supplier performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives. - Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. - Familiarity with supply chain risk management and dual sourcing strategies. - Assist with business procedure set-up, optimization, training and internal audit, SHEQ supplier audit and periodically customer assessment - Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance - Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Supplier Quality activities - Support new product localizations to ensure suppliers are capable of delivering to the required quality standards - Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions of supplier quality issues - Review and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain - Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities - Manage the Supplier's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - Support quality audits for suppliers - Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management System Competences, skills and experience: - Hands-on Experience in Power Bi/MS Office/M3/Creo - Good engineering background on material selection, design concept development, manufacturing process & structural design of weldment components. - Drawings detailing and GD &T. - Knowledge of Materials and engineering change management - Good understanding of Heavy fabrication, Electrical, Mechanical and Hydraulics sub-systems for Mining products - Ability to compare and finalise alternate Material grades considering applications. - Strong knowledge about processes - Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills - Excellent organisational and follow-up skills - Competent in problem-solving, team building, planning and decision-making - Energetic, positive, open-minded, team player, willing to learn and approachable. - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to coordinate different stakeholders. - Travel to customer site as and when required. - Has an attitude DARE TO THINK NEW Experience Requirements. - Degree Mechanical Engineering - 4+ years experience relevant experience in the same field.
