Asst Manager, Client Valuations Group

Job Summary The Client Valuation Analyst will be part of the Client Valuation Group within Financial Market Operations responsible for delivering accurate and timely valuations of clients portfolios across multiple asset classes The role involves working closely with traders risk finance and external stakeholders to ensure transparent and independent valuation processes that support effective risk management and client servicing Key Responsibilities Strategy Partner with Risk Product Valuation Controller Front Office and Technology to enhance transparency control and consistency in the valuation process Contribute to valuation methodology reviews process improvements and governance initiatives Business Ensure that client queries issues and complaints etc are handled appropriately Ensure tasks are carried out within policies and procedures Participate in business prioritization UAT tests and post implementation verification check Processes Perform daily and periodic valuations of client portfolios across asset classes FX Rates Credit Equities Commodities Derivatives etc Prepare and deliver valuation reports to clients Investigate and resolve valuation breaks discrepancies or exceptions and ensuring issues are closed within agreed timelines Support collateral management margin disputes and valuation queries from clients and internal teams Continuous improvement of daily processing to increase efficiency People Talent Assisting newcomers and other teams with training around margin operations using tailored training Embody the company values Risk Management Meet the Margining and Portfolio Reconciliation requirement by EMIR Dodd-Frank HKMA etc Challenge existing process continuously seek to improve the processes and controls Governance Ensure compliance with internal policies valuation standards and regulatory requirements Ensure policies controls and procedures are current relevant and maintained as per company or industry standards Write up the DOIs Participate in process deep dive review with Risk and control functions Actively participate in BCP events such DR drill and call tree tests Regulatory Business Conduct Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics including regulatory and business conduct across Standard Chartered Bank This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with in letter and spirit all applicable laws regulations guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct Effectively and collaboratively identify escalate mitigate and resolve risk conduct and compliance matters Escalate all Non-policy issues to the right reporting chain Key stakeholders Identify and raise any concerns and risks to relevant stakeholders Escalation to Management Operational Risk and Compliance teams as appropriate and in accordance with defined procedures Key stakeholders are FMO Margin and Client Valuation Ops FMO MT FMO Regulatory Operations FM Compliance Technology FM Regional COO FM Business Heads Product and Valuation Control Legal Compliance Operational Risk Other Responsibilities Embed Here for good and Group s brand and values in Market Operations Margin and Client Valuations Ops team Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group Country Business or Functional policies and procedures Multiple functions double hats Qualifications Education-Graduation from a reputed institution Training-Minimum 3 years working experience in operations risk and collateral management Languages-English Skills and Experience Understanding of different regulations under Dodd-Frank EMIR HKMA MAS etc and their implications to Client Valuation standards Strong understanding of financial products including derivatives and structured products Good knowledge of valuation techniques market data and financial risk concepts Proficiency in Excel and analytical tools familiarity with databases and reporting tools Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail Excellent communication skills with ability to engage with clients and internal stakeholders Ability to work effectively under
