Job Description About The Role Grade Level (for internal use): 14 The Team We are seeking an accomplished Executive Director to lead and oversee our software development and technology initiatives. This senior leadership role requires a visionary individual with over 15 to 20 years of extensive experience in software development, cloud architecture, and team management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving innovation, managing large-scale projects, and aligning technical strategies with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: - Define and articulate the technical vision for the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends. - Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive technology roadmaps that support multiple initiatives across the organization. - Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, advocating for the adoption of emerging technologies, particularly in AI and cloud computing. Technical Oversight - Provide high-level guidance on software development practices, ensuring proficiency in languages such as C#, Java, Python, and JavaScript. - Champion Agile and DevOps methodologies across teams to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and product quality. - Lead the design and architecture of scalable cloud solutions using AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS), emphasizing resilience and cost-effectiveness. - Ensure robust database management practices, leveraging both SQL and NoSQL technologies for optimal data storage solutions. - Oversee the implementation of cloud security best practices and compliance measures (e.g., GDPR) across all technology initiatives. - Drive the integration of AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) into software solutions, ensuring effective data preprocessing and model deployment. Team And Initiative Management - Mentor and develop senior leadership within the software engineering teams, promoting a high-performance culture and talent retention. - Manage and oversee multiple technology initiatives, ensuring effective prioritization, resource allocation, and alignment with strategic goals. - Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including executives, product managers, and clients, to facilitate communication and collaboration on technical projects. Operational Excellence - Utilize advanced analytical skills to identify complex technical and operational challenges, developing innovative solutions to drive efficiency. - Oversee budget management for technology initiatives, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring financial accountability. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. - Minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in software development, cloud architecture, and technology leadership, with a proven track record in a senior management role. - Extensive knowledge of cloud architecture, security, compliance, and AI technologies. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. - Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for driving innovation and excellence in technology.
