Job Description

Your role will require a balance between tactical day-to-day design management and broaderstrategic thinking, ensuring that your team s work is aligned with both immediate product needsand long-term business growth.

This role will involve collaboration across departments, managingteam capacity, and driving design initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes for both thebusiness and users.

While there are no strict rules around team size at Innovaccer, Product Design Leads typically oversee 0-3 individual contributors and maintain a strong focus on delivering high-quality product feature work, often closely related to the work of their reports.

Design Managers, on the other hand, are responsible for managing larger teams, including Leads, or overseeing teams that handle multiple differentiated products.

In critical situations, Design Managers may step in to own projects and features in an individual contributor capacity to ensure project success.

- A Day in the life:Lead and mentor a team of designers,providing career guidance and ensuring your team is motivated, engaged, and aligned with company goals.
- Drive design excellenceby optimizing processes and workflows, improving efficiency, and ensuring consistent, high-quality design outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teamsin product, engineering, and other departments to ensure design solutions align with business objectives and user needs.
- Facilitate design sprints, workshops, and reviews,helping your team solve complex problems with strategic, data-driven solutions.
- Promote a culture of openness and feedback,where team members share progress and challenges regularly with stakeholders and leadership.
- Manage staffing and project resourcing strategically,ensuring the team is well-positioned to meet product deadlines and deliver impactful solutions.
- Foster a user-centered design approach,advocating for the integration of diverse perspectives and user feedback into the design process.
- Lead initiatives that impact customer success,driving improvements that enhance product usability and align with customer satisfaction goals.
- Champion mentorship and citizenshipwithin your team, ensuring a culture of support, inclusivity, and collaboration.

What You Need

- 8+ years of product design experience, with a strong track record of delivering design solutions for web, mobile, or desktop platforms.
- At least 3 years of experience managing or mentoring a team of UX and visual designers.
- A Bachelor s degree in design, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience (a postgraduate degree is preferred).
- Expertise in design processes, systems, and tools like Figma or Miro, with experience optimizing workflows and improving team efficacy.
- Proven ability to advocate for design within cross-functional teams, collaborating with product and engineering to ensure design aligns with long-term business and user goals.
- Experience fostering a culture of growth and mentorship, including career development and team-building skills.
- Strong leadership skills, including managing strategic project staffing and ensuring team alignment with company objectives.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and the ability to collaborate effectively with development teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

- U.S Healthcare industry knowledge and expertise
- Experience designing both B2B, B2C, and SaaS products and experiences
- Bachelors degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or a related field, postgraduate degree preferred for people manager roles or equivalent professional experience
- Experience using A.I. tools and a strong understanding of A.I. user experiences
