What You&aposll Do

This role is part of the Global Services Accounting Operations team, based in BCGs Global Services New Delhi Office. The Accounting Operations team is integral to ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of BCGs financial information, overseeing month-end accounting, and providing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for BCGs global businesses. Key responsibilities include establishing robust process controls, conducting thorough reconciliations, and maintaining effective communication with business partners worldwide. The team plays a vital role in delivering reliable financial insights and collaborates on global projects and strategic initiatives.

The role will oversee accounting and reporting for BCGs global service functions Vantage, BCG U, Global Design Studios, Case Team Services, Language Services and will support internal management reporting. Core responsibilities will include managing cost accruals, reconciling P&L and balance sheet accounts, and coordinating with stakeholders across Global Services and local finance teams on ad hoc reporting, analysis, and complex accounting issues. The role will also drive process enhancements, document procedures to increase transparency, streamline operations, and support Finance leadership in transitioning to a more automated reporting framework.

What You&aposll Bring

- Bachelors or masters degree in finance & accounting, with prior experience of working in a global finance operations team or setup
- 7+ years of relevant experience in Finance processes with focus on financial accounting, reporting and analysis, with strong understanding of finance operations setup, delivery, and process transformation
- Able to excel in a dynamic and intellectually challenging environment while adapting flexibly to improve the business and align with BCG&aposs values and culture.
- Strong, proven proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with adaptability to various technologies and software applications/tools.
- Practical work experience and exposure to various ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, BO, and Hyperion.
- Ability to operate effectively at both a high level and a detailed level.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to understand complex topics, think critically, exercise judgment, and make informed decisions.
- Good management judgment, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable interacting with peer groups, senior leadership, and third-party service providers.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the capacity to handle multiple shifting priorities alongside day-to-day responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience in GL close processes, management reporting, and financial analysis.
- Strong analytical skills, a questioning mindset, and attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and lead process improvement initiatives.

This position is essential to the Global Services Accounting Operations team and will work closely with Global Finance functions, including Tax, Treasury, Financial Systems, Global Operations, and Financial Planning & Analysis teams.

GL Close & Management Reporting

- Assist with monthly close processes and quarterly/year-end accounting activities for Vantage, BCG U and ES, ensuring compliance with BCGs accounting standards.
- Conduct month-end checks across Theo Cap, NCCs, Compensation, and other cost centers, liaising with the LO team to resolve issues.
- Review transactional details for accuracy in cost allocation and management reporting, maintaining alignment with business objectives.
- Prepare and update detailed accounting schedules and analyses for cost categories, including accruals, compensation, and operating expenses.
- Analyze monthly actuals versus forecast and prior-year results, providing insightful, high-quality commentary to support the accuracy and reliability of financial statements.
- Prepare and deliver quarterly management reporting decks that capture business performance and forecasting insights for senior leadership.
- Oversee the preparation, tracking, and validation of HFM journal entries and ensure reconciliations of global chargeback and prepaid accounts align with US GAAP.

Timesheet Management

- Own and drive the entire timesheet processes and mailbox, including weekly and quarterly reconciliations, ensuring data accuracy and timely submission.
- Review and ensure that revenue accounting aligns with BCGs policies, addressing discrepancies collaboratively across business units.

ACC Hubs Accounting And Planning

- Assist in preparing and submitting ACC India Hubs forecasts in collaboration with Operations and Finance Business Partners (FBPs).
- Prepare quarterly P&L reporting and present insights with key stakeholders, including Kapil and the operations team.
- Engage in monthly operational meetings to stay current on change initiatives, ensuring accounting readiness and compliance.
- Lead reconciliations related to chargebacks and cost allocations (including ILCS/ allocations), driving accuracy and transparency in financial reporting.
- Conduct technical accounting research for ad-hoc inquiries and operational tasks, ensuring clarity and compliance.

Process Improvement

- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements within GL close and management reporting workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risks.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to stay informed on change management, providing technical expertise and support as needed.
