Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Back-End Developer with strong expertise in Node.js to join our remote engineering team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and developing scalable backend services and APIs, collaborating closely with front-end developers, and contributing to the architecture and integration of modern web applications.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable back-end applications using Node.js
- Collaborate with front-end developers and product teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices in object-oriented programming (OOP)
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and database schemas
- Work independently and take ownership of features and modules
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance

Qualifications

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in back-end web development with Node.js
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software development principles
- Experience with AWS services and deploying applications to the cloud
- Proficiency in MySQL or other relational databases
- Familiarity with front-end technologies and integration (e.g., React, HTML/CSS)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Location: Remote

Type: Contract (Full-Time/Part-Time Negotiable)
