Junior Engineer - MRO PurchaseDepartment Procurement Purchase MRO - Maintenance Repair Operations Location Hisar HaryanaCompany Jindal Stainless LimitedAbout the Company Jindal Stainless Limited JSL is India s largest stainless steel manufacturer and one of the leading global players in the industry With a strong focus on innovation quality and sustainability JSL serves diverse sectors including automotive railway construction and consumer durables The Hisar facility is the company s pioneering stainless steel plant known for operational excellence and world-class manufacturing standards Role Overview The Junior - MRO Purchase professional will support the procurement of maintenance repair and operating supplies essential for plant operations The role involves vendor coordination order processing material tracking and ensuring timely availability of quality materials while optimizing costs and maintaining compliance with company procedures Key Responsibilities Assist in the procurement of MRO items such as spare parts tools consumables lubricants and industrial supplies Identify evaluate and communicate with suppliers to obtain quotations and ensure competitive pricing Prepare and process purchase orders POs in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms Monitor material delivery schedules and coordinate with stores and user departments to ensure timely receipt Maintain and update vendor database and procurement records in the ERP system SAP preferred Assist in vendor performance evaluation based on quality price and delivery parameters Work closely with the maintenance engineering and stores departments to understand requirements and ensure uninterrupted plant operations Support cost-saving initiatives through alternate sourcing and process improvements Ensure adherence to procurement policies internal controls and audit requirements Resolve supplier-related issues like delayed delivery invoice mismatch or quantity discrepancies Qualifications Experience Education Diploma Graduate with relevant experience Experience 1-3 years in MRO or indirect procurement preferably in manufacturing steel process industry ERP Knowledge SAP MM module or equivalent ERP system proficiency preferred Skills Competencies Strong understanding of procurement and inventory management processes Good negotiation and vendor management skills Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in MS Excel Word and PowerPoint Effective communication and coordination skills across departments Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under deadlines Key Performance Indicators KPIs On-time procurement and delivery rate Cost savings achieved through negotiation alternate sourcing Reduction in purchase cycle time Supplier performance and quality compliance Accuracy of purchase documentation and ERP data Job Snapshot Updated Date 13-11-2025 Job ID Job 2330 Department Purchase- MRO Location Hisar Haryana India Experience 2 - 5 Years
