Position -Customer Data Platform (CDP) Architect

Location - Mumbai/Pune

Summary:

The CDP Architect is responsible for providing technical leadership during HCL Unica software implementations, upgrades and workshops. The Architect will facilitate solution definition, design and implementation of Unica Customer Data Platform (CDP)

The Architect will technically supervise the installation, upgrade, configuration, integration and performance tuning for Unica CDP.

This position requires the ability to work independently, take accountability for solution services and delivery, and function as a team member with both colleagues and clients.

Experience:

Qualified candidates should have 15+ years of experience and a demonstrated track record in solution design, integration, technical configuration, installation and trouble-shooting of Marketing Automation Frameworks like Unica, Adobe, Braze, Salesforce, etc.. The role requires a 4-year university degree.

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Architect to design, build, integrate Databases with enterprise applications, systems and middleware. The Architect will provide Technical Leadership and Guidance to the Data and Integration team, mentor database administrators, database developers and ensuring successful client outcomes are delivered.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Clients to understand requirements and deliver effective data and integration solutions.
- Translate conceptual system & business requirements into technical database and integration requirements
- Architect, Design, Build, and Implement databases and data integration frameworks HCL’s Marketing Platform (Unica) and Customer Data Platform (CDP)
- Strongly influence the Database Engineering overall strategy through collaboration with HCL technical experts and management.
- Contribute to complex cross-functional Database Engineering strategic initiatives.
- Manage and design Database architecture for scalability, capacity, performance
- Architect secured on-premise and cloud solutions through standardization, automation, optimization, availability, scalability
- Implement security related risk and compliance initiatives with the ability to guide Database Engineering in streamlining security functions.
- Lead efforts in optimizing support models for Database Engineering including optimization of security, backup/recovery, architecture, networking, and administration
- Provide operational support with the ability to guide members of Database Team for running an optimized support model
- Research and implement modern technologies to enhance/grow existing database infrastructure and performs proof-of-concept research on behalf of Database Engineering.
- Create and deliver presentations for internal stakeholders, Clients and business partners

Qualifications and Experiences

1. 15+ yrs. of Design and Development Experience in Enterprise Database Management, Administration, Integration, Performance Management
2. Strong knowledge of Domain Driven Design, Data Modelling, and Application Architectures
3. Knowledge of Database patterns and technologies and when to use each; RDBMS, NoSQL, Columnar, Key-Value, etc.
4. Proven expertise in the design, maintenance, and administration of one or more relational Databases like MySQL, MariaDB, MS-SQL, Oracle
5. Highly knowledgeable of Database architecture and Internals
6. Proficient with Database installation and configuration, clustering, backup, replication
7. Proficient with Database performance tuning, monitoring and alerting tools/processes
8. Proficient with ETL development and tools (IBM DataStage, Microsoft SSIS, etc)
9. Deep Experience in architecting solutions related to data ingestion (real-time and batch), transformation, enrichment, cleansing, data export using ETL and other techniques
10. Ability to work well within an agile team environment and applying the related working methods.
11. Experience working on & integrating with Cloud Platforms like: GCP, AWS, Azure and OpenShift is a plus
12. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with customers and business partners
13. Ability to mentor team members.

Education

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
2. One or more Database Certifications from Oracle, Microsoft, MySQL
3. One or more Cloud Certifications from Amazon Web Services, Google, Azure
