A Production Supervisor oversees the daily operations of a manufacturing or production facility ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Here s a detailed job description for a Production Supervisor Job Title Production Supervisor Location Daman Reports To Production Manager or Plant Manager Job Summary The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of production staff to ensure efficient safe and timely production processes This role involves monitoring production performance managing staff and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality Key Responsibilities 1 Production Oversight - Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production schedules and targets - Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards safety regulations and operational procedures - Troubleshoot and resolve production issues or equipment malfunctions promptly 2 Staff Management - Lead train and evaluate production staff including setting performance goals and providing feedback - Schedule shifts and manage workforce allocation to meet production demands - Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration 3 Quality Control - Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure product standards are consistently met - Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues 4 Safety and Compliance - Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA or other relevant safety regulations - Conduct safety training and drills to minimize workplace hazards and ensure a safe working environment 5 Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains - Implement lean manufacturing techniques and best practices to enhance production performance 6 Reporting and Documentation - Maintain accurate production records including output downtime and inventory levels - Prepare and present regular reports on production performance and key metrics 7 Coordination and Communication - Coordinate with other departments e g maintenance logistics quality assurance to ensure smooth production operations - Communicate production status issues and updates effectively to management and team members Qualifications - Education Bachelor s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Business or a related field or equivalent experience - Experience Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment with prior supervisory experience preferred - Skills - Strong leadership and team management skills - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities - Knowledge of production processes quality control and safety standards - Proficiency in using production management software and tools - Strong communication and interpersonal skills Work Environment - This role typically requires working in a manufacturing or industrial setting with exposure to machinery and equipment It may involve standing for long periods and occasional lifting of materials Job Types Full-time Permanent Education Bachelor s Preferred Experience total work 2 years Required Shift availability Day Shift Preferred Night Shift Preferred Work Location In person
