Job Description

Summary:

We're looking for a passionate and adaptable 3D Generalist to join our Unity-based XR development team. This is a dynamic role where you'll contribute across the 3D pipeline from modeling and texturing to rigging, animation, lighting, and rendering. Success in this position requires a strong foundation in 3D production and a willingness to continuously learn new tools and workflows to meet evolving project needs.

Responsibilities

- Model and optimize 3D assets (props, environments, characters) for real-time Unity applications
- Create UV maps and apply PBR textures using tools like Substance Painter and Photoshop
- Import and configure assets efficiently within Unity's asset pipeline
- Perform basic rigging and simple animations for characters or interactive elements
- Set up lighting and rendering for visualization or portfolio-quality outputs
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and other artists to ensure quality and performance
- Continuously learn and adapt to new tools and production techniques as needed

Qualifications

- Proficiency in Maya or Blender
- Strong understanding of Unity's 3D asset pipeline
- Experience with PBR workflows, UV unwrapping, and texture baking
- Basic knowledge of rigging, animation, lighting, and rendering techniques
- Willingness to work across disciplines and learn new tools quickly
- Good communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Any degree or academic background is acceptable, formal education in 3D Design, Game Art, or Animation is a plus, but not mandatory
- Portfolio showcasing 3D modeling, texturing, and any relevant animation/rendering work
