position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities The position is within Wholesale Lending Technology and we are seeking a Technical Lead with strong hands-on experience in developing server-side components in Java Candidate must have experience in developing enterprise application using Java J2EE Spring The work will include strategic state-of-the-art solutions using new stack development using Agile DevOps high standard Micro services Docker for application hosting Candidate will be working on fast-paced highly visible and challenging projects Candidate is expected to be a self-starter and someone who loves technology in general and excels when challenged Responsibilities Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements Resolve variety of high impact problems projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes system processes and industry standards Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding testing debugging and implementation Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business such as architecture and infrastructure integrate to accomplish business goals Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts allocating work as necessary Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made demonstrating particular consideration for the firm s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws rules and regulations adhering to Policy applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior conduct and business practices and escalating managing and reporting control issues with transparency As a technical lead analyze and collaborate technical solutions and strategies with the team and provide the optimum solution for our clients Own success Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions Mentoring other developer on their implementation while needed and organize review activities like design review code review and technical document review etc to make sure the success deliverable Responsible for systems analysis Design Coding Unit Testing and other SDLC activities Code reviews exposure to continuous integration test case reviews and ensure code developed meets the requirements Explore existing application systems determines areas of complexity potential risks to successful implementation Communicate continually with the client and project teams Clarify clients needs present tech team ideas and explains progress on the development efforts Contributes to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to software architecture software development process and new technologies etc Strictly follow Citis engineering standards and ensure these are followed across all modules in the project Perform code design reviews consistently Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision Act as technical advisor or coach to junior members in the team Technology Skills Must have expert level hands-on knowledge and understanding in JAVA J2EE spring boot spring framework stack Must have Deep understanding of Microservice and Microservices best practices patterns- Spring boot microservices is highly preferred Must have Hands-on Oracle DB RDBMS Mongo DB experience Must have experience in SCMs like GIT and tools like JIRA Good understanding of OpenShift Docker Good understanding of Kafka is highly desirable Agile Scrum methodology experience is required Strong systems analysis design and architecture fundamentals Unit Testing and other SDLC activities Strong with Problem Solving and Data Structure Ability to contribute in high- and low-level system design Sequence diagram class diagrams Strong communication skills should be able to communicate effectively with business and other stakeholders Qualifications 13 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role with Java Micro services Spring boot etc Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications Experience in managing and implementing successful projects Subject Matter Expert SME in at least one area of Applications Development Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate Demonstrated leadership and project management skills Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication Education Bachelors degree University degree or equivalent experience Masters
