DESCRIPTION Job Summary The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for operating machines and production equipment in a safe efficient and quality-focused manner This role involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with direct guidance contributing to the production of high-quality components using both manual and automated systems including welding cells and robotic technologies Key Responsibilities Health Safety Environmental HSE Immediately stop work and report any major injury hazards Report all work-related injuries illnesses incidents or hazards Comply with all HSE standards policies procedures and regulations Use appropriate personal protective equipment PPE Promote a culture of safety and interdependence Correct hazards within your control and capabilities Minimize environmental impact through responsible work practices Participate in HSE training and initiatives Quality Follow all standard work process documentation and quality procedures Raise issues to minimize cost and quality risks Perform quality inspections and identify non-conforming materials Ensure adherence to product specifications and standards Delivery Operate manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble products Meet production goals and maintain required cycle times Maintain a clean and organized work area including routine housekeeping and machine care Perform planned operator maintenance tasks Support equipment maintenance and repair efforts with peers and skilled trades Teamwork Communicate effectively with team members and support staff Complete required training and personal development activities Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts related to safety quality and process efficiency RESPONSIBILITIES Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations Core Competencies Collaborates - Builds partnerships and works collaboratively to achieve shared goals Communicates Effectively - Delivers clear audience-appropriate communication Customer Focus - Develops strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions Demonstrates Self-Awareness - Uses feedback and reflection to understand personal strengths and areas for growth Nimble Learning - Learns actively through experimentation and adapts based on outcomes Self-Development - Seeks growth opportunities through formal and informal channels Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions proactive safety behaviors to support an injury-free workplace Values Differences - Appreciates diverse perspectives and cultures to enhance team performance QUALIFICATIONS Skills and Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Prior welding experience preferred Hands-on experience with welding cells and robotic systems Familiarity with automation technologies Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Job Manufacturing Organization Cummins Inc Role Category On-site with Flexibility Job Type Shop ReqID 2420794 Relocation Package Yes 100 On-Site No
