Visual design helps communicate ideas, not distract from them. Creative Services design visual solutions that are clear, informative, and engaging for your target audience whether you're speaking to a room of two or 200.

Position Summary

The Director, Creative Services Presentation Design will be challenged to lead a continually evolving global program to innovate on Bain's Presentation Design standards.

This will require periodic reviews of our global presentation design and visual communication standards, involving regular communication and knowledge sharing with Bain's client-facing teams, internal communication stakeholders, and close collaboration with other design departmentsnotably Marketing.

The Director, Creative Services - Presentation Design will work closely with Creative Services leadership to ensure presentation design communication standards are visually consistent.

The role may require hands-on design leadership and involvement on high profile presentation design projects.

Essential Functions

Program Management

- Bring bold thinking and creative ideas to evolve Bain's presentation design visual identity and formatting standards (Core/Plus)
- Serve as a thought partner to a wide range of internal stakeholders including Brand Identity and TSG Consulting Innovation & Products to improve Bain's presentation design toolkit (Toolbox, Mekko Graphics, and asset library)
- Oversee the rollout of future upgrades to Bain's presentation design visual identity and formatting standards

- Source, evaluate and establish a global ecosystem of expertly trained external third-party design partners to support and facilitate supplemental presentation design requirements
- Lead the design and development of Creative Services collaboration portal on SharePoint and ensure presentation design is clearly represented on AMP
- Partner with PPK to define and establish a process for ensuring material posted to our internal knowledge platform (Iris) complies with Presentation Design and Bain brand/visual-identity standards

Product innovation

- Explore and pilot new technologies and design formats to determine the next gen for Bain's Presentation Design services
- Investigate technology tools (bots, RPA, etc.) to automate repetitive design processes

Training and PD

- Coach and lead the professional development of our global teams by developing a comprehensive integration and continuous learning curriculum for designers, consulting staff, and business function teams
- Play a direct role in content development for all new hire integration and continuous learning programs
- Define job descriptions and career pathways for all levels within Presentations Design, with focus on pathways to lead designer

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's Degree/Design related qualification
- 15+ years of experience in presentation design services within a demanding corporate global environment
- 6+ years of leadership experience in people and project management
- Experience in local and remote management
- Demonstrable experience in brand management/compliance
- Experience in data visualization
- Expert-level proficiency using PowerPoint for presentation design
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Native or Fluent English (C2 level)
- High-level management and leadership skills
