AI Solution Architect

Job Description Position Overview AiFA Labs is seeking a highly experienced Principal AI Solution Architect to serve as the strategic design authority and technical owner for all AI solution architectures across our entire project portfolio. This role combines deep technical expertise with comprehensive solution ownership, responsible for designing, overseeing, and ensuring the successful delivery of all AI solution designs for both ongoing and new projects. As the Principal AI Solution Architect, you will be the single point of accountability for solution design excellence across AiFA Labs diverse client engagements and product development initiatives. Solution Ownership & Design Authority Portfolio-Wide Solution Design Ownership Complete accountability for all AI solution architectures across AiFA Labs entire project portfolio, including Product-led implementations. Design authority for all technical solutions, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with business objectives across all projects End-to-end ownership of solution lifecycle from initial business requirements through deployment and maintenance Strategic oversight of solution design processes, establishing standards, methodologies, and best practices for the entire organization Solution Design Leadership Lead comprehensive solution design activities for all AI initiatives, translating business requirements into detailed technical architectures Create architectural blueprints that define the technical vision, integration patterns, and implementation roadmaps for complex AI solutions Establish design governance frameworks ensuring all solutions meet scalability, security, performance, and maintainability requirements Drive solution standardization across projects while maintaining flexibility for client-specific customizations Core Technical Responsibilities AI Solution Architecture Design Design enterprise-scale AI architectures that integrate generative AI, machine learning, and traditional enterprise systems across diverse client environments Develop comprehensive data architectures supporting AI workloads, including data pipelines, model training infrastructure, and real-time inference systems Create integration strategies for seamless connectivity between AI solutions and enterprise applications (SAP, CRM, ERP systems) Architect cloud-native AI solutions leveraging multi-cloud environments and containerized deployments for optimal scalability Technology Stack Selection & Optimization Evaluate and select optimal technology stacks for each project considering performance, cost, scalability, and integration requirements Design microservices architectures for AI applications ensuring modularity, maintainability, and independent deployment capabilities Implement MLOps/LLMOps frameworks for automated model lifecycle management, continuous integration, and deployment Establish monitoring and observability solutions for AI systems including performance metrics, model drift detection, and system health monitoring Solution Integration & Implementation Oversee complex system integrations between AI components and existing enterprise infrastructure, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality Design API strategies for AI services, establishing standardized interfaces for internal and external system interaction Implement security frameworks for AI solutions addressing data privacy, model protection, and regulatory compliance requirements Optimize solution performance through architectural improvements, caching strategies, and resource allocation optimization Project Portfolio Management Multi-Project Design Coordination Coordinate solution designs across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring resource optimization and knowledge sharing Manage design dependencies between projects, identifying opportunities for component reuse and architectural standardization Establish project prioritization frameworks for design activities, balancing client commitments with strategic product development Drive portfolio-wide architectural decisions that impact multiple projects and long-term technology strategy Solution Design Governance Implement design review processes ensuring all solutions meet quality, security, and performance standards before implementation Establish architectural documentation standards providing comprehensive solution blueprints for development teams and stakeholders Conduct regular architecture assessments across the project portfolio to identify optimization opportunities and technical debt reduction Manage solution design risks proactively identifying and mitigating potential technical challenges across all projects Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership Client Solution Leadership Serve as primary technical advisor to Fortune 500 clients on complex AI solution architectures and strategic technology decisions Lead solution design workshops with client stakeholders, translating business requirements into comprehensive technical solutions Present architectural visions to executive audiences, demonstrating how AI solutions will deliver measurable business value Manage client expectations regarding solution capabilities, implementation timelines, and ongoing maintenance requirements Internal Team Leadership Lead cross-functional design teams including AI engineers, data scientists, and integration specialists across all projects Mentor solution architects and senior technical staff, fostering solution design excellence throughout the organization Collaborate with project managers to ensure solution designs align with project timelines, budgets, and resource constraints Drive knowledge sharing across project teams, establishing communities of practice for solution design methodologies Required Qualifications & Experience Educational Background & Experience Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Systems Architecture, or related field; PhD strongly preferred Minimum 12-15 years of solution architecture experience with at least 8+ years focused on AI/ML solutions Proven track record of owning and delivering complex solution designs for enterprise-scale AI implementations Extensive experience managing multiple concurrent projects and solution design activities Technical Expertise Expert-level proficiency in AI/ML technologies including generative AI, large language models, computer vision, and natural language processing Deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API design, and micro services architectures Comprehensive knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their AI/ML services Strong experience with data architecture, real-time streaming, and big data technologies (Kafka, Spark, Hadoop) Solution Design Expertise Mastery of solution architecture methodologies including TOGAF, enterprise architecture frameworks, and design patterns Extensive experience with solution design tools (enterprise architecture tools, diagramming software, modelling frameworks) Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements Deep knowledge of integration technologies, middleware platforms, and enterprise
