Job Title Legal Executive - Legal Metrology Company Ramsons Perfumes Pvt Ltd Location Dombivli East Maharashtra Department Legal Reports To Legal Manager General Counsel Website www ramsonsperfumes com Job Summary Ramsons Perfumes Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Executive - Legal Metrology to join our Legal team The role is critical in ensuring end-to-end compliance with the Legal Metrology Act 2009 and related rules The selected candidate will handle legal metrology compliance drafting and responding to statutory notices conducting audits and providing legal guidance to internal stakeholders within the FMCG environment Key ResponsibilitiesLegal Metrology Compliance Ensure strict adherence to the Legal Metrology Act 2009 and associated Legal Metrology Rules Conduct regular audits of weighing and measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance Coordinate with internal teams to identify and resolve discrepancies related to Legal Metrology standards Drafting Letters and Replies Draft clear precise and professional correspondence to government authorities suppliers and customers Prepare timely replies to notices show-cause notices inspection reports and other statutory communications Assist in preparation and submission of documents required for inspections audits and certifications Notice Management Manage and respond to notices received from government authorities and regulatory bodies Liaise with internal departments to gather data records and evidence for accurate and timely responses Ensure compliance with inspection verification and certification processes for products and measuring instruments Legal Research and Advisory Conduct continuous research on Legal Metrology laws FMCG regulations and relevant industry standards Provide proactive legal advice to mitigate compliance risks and potential liabilities Track amendments and updates in applicable laws and advise management on their business impact Training and Awareness Organize and conduct training sessions on Legal Metrology laws and internal compliance procedures Develop and implement internal awareness programs to promote compliance across departments Ensure stakeholders are adequately trained to prevent non-compliance and regulatory issues Record Keeping and Reporting Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of correspondence notices filings and compliance documents Prepare periodic compliance reports for senior management highlighting risks gaps and corrective actions Ensure all legal documentation is properly filed retrievable and compliant with statutory requirements RequirementsEducation LL B Bachelor of Laws or equivalent law degree from a recognized university Experience 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar legal role Prior experience in Legal Metrology compliance is highly preferred FMCG industry experience and handling government notices will be an added advantage Skills Strong working knowledge of the Legal Metrology Act 2009 and applicable rules Excellent drafting documentation and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail Certifications Certification in Legal Metrology or related fields is desirable but not mandatory Personal Attributes Proactive diligent and compliance-oriented mindset High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality Why Join Ramsons Perfumes Pvt Ltd Competitive salary and benefits Dynamic and collaborative FMCG work environment Opportunities for professional learning and career growth Job Type Full-time Pay 22 000 00 - 25 000 00 per month Benefits Provident Fund Work Location In person
